Chapter 8

Husk and Angel walked in through the hotel doors. Their laughter filling the once quiet lobby.

"He had, like, three bills, and it took him, like, 30 minutes to count it. His eyes are so shit." Angel said with a laugh. "And this is the guy you got to take orders from?" Husker asked with a similar amused laugh.

"I know! What a fucking joke, right?" Angel's voice traveled through the lobby. From the sound of his voice, Charlie immediately looked up from her pile of plans scattered across the table. She immediately ran over to the two throwing her arms around the porn star.

"I'm so sorry, Angel! I promise I won't ever, ever, ever-" Charlie started to apologize with tears filling her yellow and red eyes.

"Charlie, it's fine. I get it." Angel said offering her a kind smile. The princess only stared up at him with wide teary eyes. "Thanks...for carin about me." Angel said softly while patting her head with one hand.

The action made the tears in Charlie's eyes start to flow down her cheeks as sobs left her throat. Immediately not knowing what to do, Angel pried the princess off of him, holding her up in the air. It didn't take long for him to spot Charlie's girlfriend.

"Ehh...I think this is yours." Angel said handing the princess off to the woman who had a soft smile. "Okay, missy, let's get you to bed." Vaggie said to her girlfriend while cradling her in her arms. Charlie only responded with shaky breathes as she tried to speak between them.

"He-he...said he for-forgave me!" Charlie started to sob even harder. Husker and Angel staring at the princess before being carried away by Vaggie. "Oh, it's so beautiful, Vaggie!" Charlie continued to sob as she was carried up the stairs.

Two figures stood on the sidelines watching the scene unfold. "What an interesting scene. Don't you think so, my dear?" Alastor asked the woman standing next to him. The woman's hands raised as a soft smile played on her features while watching the princess. "She's a sweet girl." The woman signed.

"Indeed she is. It does make me quite curious to see what she can do with this band of misfits." Alastor said leaning against his cane. "She's got a good head on her shoulders." (Y/n) signed before moving her attention to Angel and Husk. Something was different about their dynamic. Not a bad different by any means either.

"Hey...how bout that drink?" Husker asked Angel with a kind smile. "You read my mind." Angel said as they approached the bar. Husk was about to move behind the bar when a puff of blue smoke appeared in front of him. The overlord appeared before him blocking his way. Husk simply raised a brow at her as she gently pushed him away from the bar rolling up her sleeves.

"Uh...what are you doing?" Husk asked the woman with a raised brow. "I thought you deserved a night off. The usual?" (Y/n) signed with a smile already getting the glasses out for the two. Husk only stared at her not believing what she'd said.

"And how'd you manage that?" Husk asked crossing his arms over his chest. A smirk played on her cheeks as she raised her hands again. "What can I say? I'm just that good." Husk let out a soft laugh before taking a seat next to Angel. They both watched (Y/n) make their drinks before she set them down in front of them.

The pair immediately took their drinks and started talking amongst themselves once more. A soft smile rose to (Y/n)'s cheeks as she watched the two. Knowing she wasn't need in the moment, she placed a large bottle of liquor on the bar counter. Husk glanced at her from the action but he only received a soft smile and a wink from the woman before she disappeared in a cloud of light blue smoke.

The woman reappeared next to the Radio Demon who was still in the corner of the room still unnoticed by the others. Alastor raised a brow at the woman as she held an excited smile. He was about to ask her what she could possibly be so excited about when she placed a finger to his smiling lips as a signal to be quiet.
