The carriage back ride was filled with silence. Gong Yi tried his best to initiate conversations but, in the end, you simply couldn't bring yourself to care. The parting was too abrupt, still fresh in the forefront of your mind.

You still had so many questions and yet a part of you knew that deep down you would not get answers anytime soon.

Every day she would waltz with a chirper in her steps through the crowds whether she was going to the market, or simply wandering around. She would have the most dazzling smile on her face that caught the attention of any-one around her. At times, her expression would be glossed over, as if her mind was elsewhere and whatever it was seemed to make her immensely happy as you could tell see her eyes brighten.

You were awfully curious, and soon enough, with your lessened restrictions in the recent months that allowed you to go out now whenever you wanted, and without supervision, you managed to catch her before she could go along with her usual market trips.

"Auntie Sisi!" you called out, instantly gaining her attention as she glanced towards you, with a confused look on her face.

You hurriedly made your way to her side, "Where are you going today? May I join you?"

Sisi seemed surprised by the sudden request and yet without any further promoting she nodded her head in agreement, "I am just going to browse the markets for today" she said while continuing in her pursuit.

You nodded as you followed her along and with a teasingly smile you asked "So...Auntie Sisi you seem to be awfully happier these days...is there anything I should know of?".

Sisi seemed put off by the sudden question, but rather than uncomfortable she seemed almost embarrassed as her cheeks seem to flush slightly, "Have I?" she answered, her voice going slightly higher pitch as she brought a hand to her face as if to bat the blush away.

You couldn't help but quirk your eyebrow in curiosity at the strange reaction, "Yes you have...everyone has noticed it at this point..."

At you saying this, Sisi laughed lightly, "I guess I haven't been hiding well then have I?"
