The days following the day passed quickly, each filled with anticipation for the Austen and Blake families. As the time for the next meeting arrives, Lily found herself grappling with a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

On the evening of their second encounter as partners, Lily arrived at the appointed venue, a trendy café in the heart of the city. As she entered, her gaze swept across the room, seeking out the familiar figure of Alexander Blake.

Spotting him near a  window table of the cafe, Lily approached there. "Alexander," she greeted curtly, her tone betraying the tension between them.

Alexander's lips curved into a sardonic smile as he rose to greet her. "Lily," he replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Fancy seeing you here."

Their exchange was laced with an unspoken rivalry, the memory of their previous encounters lingering between them like a heavy fog.

 Taking a seat opposite him, Lily braced herself what was sure to be challenging conversation. " So, what's the meeting about?" she inquired, coming straight to the point.

Alexander leaned in his chair, his gaze fixed with an intensity that sends shivers to her spine. "I want to discuss our partnership, " he began, his tone serious.

Lily nodded,, her skepticism was evident, "And what exactly do you have in mind?" she said while narrowing her eyes in suspicion.

As Alexander outlined his vision for their collaboration, Lily couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration. His ideas were bold and ambitious, but they lacked a sense of practicality and finesse that is required for the success of their businesses.

Their conversation soon become a heated debate, with both parties stubbornly clinging to their own perspectives. As the argument reached its peak, Lily felt a sense of exhaustion with over her.

"Enough," she declared, her voice tinged with exasperation. "We're clearly not going to see eye to eye on this."

Alexander's jaw clenched with frustration he knew she as right, "Fine," he concluded, his tone filled with annoyance.

With that, their meeting came to an abrupt end, leaving Lily more conflicted than ever. As she made her way home, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that their partnership is destined to fail.
