Lily threw herself into the task at hand, pouring over flower arrangements, venue options, and menu selections. Each decision felt like a step closer to their future together, even if Alexander seemed more preoccupied with work than their wedding.
As the wedding date approached, Lily couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness amidst the flurry of activity. She longed for Alexander's support and involvement, but it seemed that he was content to let her handle everything on her own.
"Lily, are you sure you don't need any help?" Sarah, Lily's best friend, asked one afternoon as they sorted through seating charts.
