Lily laughed softly. "You spoil me, you know that?"

"And I love every minute of it," Alex said with a wink.

They enjoyed their breakfast together, talking about their plans for the day. Alex had a meeting in the afternoon, but he promised to be back early so they could have dinner together. Lily had a few errands to run and a painting she wanted to work on.

Later that day, as Alex headed to his meeting, he couldn't help but think about how lucky he was to have Lily by his side. He found himself smiling at the thought of her, even during the most mundane tasks. The meeting went smoothly, and true to his word, he returned home early, eager to spend the evening with her.

She looked up, surprised but delighted to see him. "You're back early!"

"I couldn't wait to get home," he admitted, crossing the room to kiss her.
