Ch.24 - Oscar statuette

Those big fiery hands were like demons appearing out of thin air, crushing all the cavalry who wanted to get close. Some of the cavalrymen turned around and tried to escape when they saw something was wrong, but the galloping horses still could not escape the suddenly stretched out fiery hands. All the more than ten people who were chasing the two brothers and sisters were not spared.

When Miss Chen came to her senses, she heard Zhang Jingmo, who was standing next to her, whispering something. When she listened carefully, she found that Zhang Jingmo was chanting a Buddhist scripture in a low voice.

After reciting the Buddhist sutra, Zhang Jingmo said: "Come on, we can't wait any longer, we have to use the dagger."

Only then did Miss Chen wake up from a dream. She looked at her brother who was still unconscious on the ground in a daze, and felt that she was having a strange nightmare.

Zhang Jingmo squatted on the spot and carefully observed Mr. Chen's situation. He said, "Come and hold it down for me...I will use this dagger."

Miss Chen stopped asking any questions and obediently held down her brother's body according to Zhang Jingmo's words.

The place where the dagger stabbed was very tricky. If it hadn't been for Zhang Jingmo, I'm afraid the Chen brothers and sisters would definitely have revealed it here. Zhang Jingmo looked for the angle for a while and felt that it was almost done. Then he slowly stretched out his hand to hold the dagger, and then struck it hard. He pulled out the dagger from Master Chen's chest.

As soon as the dagger came out, Zhang Jingmo's face was splashed with blood. Fortunately, the acupuncture points had been sealed with silver needles beforehand, otherwise Mr. Chen would have bled to death within a few breaths after the dagger was pulled out.

Zhang Jingmo pulled out the dagger and opened the wound slightly to let the poisonous blood flow out. Then he sprinkled powder on the wound, found some clean clothes, cut them into several pieces and bandaged them for Mr. Chen.

When Miss Chen saw that her brother's breathing was gradually calming down, the stone in her heart finally fell to the ground. There was cold sweat on her face and forehead, which was somewhat similar to the pale Zhang Jingmo.

After bandaging the wound, Zhang Jingmo seemed to have exhausted all his strength and ignored the dirt on the ground. He sat down and took a few breaths before saying, "This, this is really not fun."

When Miss Chen heard this, she smiled bitterly: "What are you doing here at the border? This is not a place for fun."

Zhang Jingmo said blankly: "I want to find someone." As he spoke, his eyes became blurred, as if he was recalling something.

Although Miss Chen and Zhang Jingmo share weal and woe, they are not particularly familiar with each other after all, and it is difficult to ask who Zhang Jingmo is looking for.

The two sat next to the fire, looking at each other in a daze. Zhang Jingmo seemed to be too tired, and fell asleep with his head on a stone.

After Zhang Jingmo fell asleep, Miss Chen took a closer look at the noble young master again.

In fact, the first time I noticed Zhang Jingmo was because of his good-looking appearance. In this desolate border town, the man in front of me was more like a ray of clear spring in the Jiangnan water town. Sitting there, people couldn't help but look at him sideways.

What happened to Zhang Jingmo later made Ms. Chen want to remind her involuntarily. She was actually a little worried about whether something unexpected would happen to this man in this sinister town...
