Two weeks has passed since
You got C- on your painting project because Ms. Aphrodite though it's not good enough.

And everyone else got A+

This why you feel down all day even though Evander is trying his best to cheer you up by buying you your favorite snacks.

He also said he has a present for you that he has been preparing for since a week.

Like you have known him for two weeks and he is already bringing you gifts.

Right you two are in your dorm, studying alone.

"The C- doesn't define your beautiful art" Evander assures you, placing a comforting arm around your shoulders.

"But what if I do really deserve this grade?"

"If you sell your workart in a gallary, I would be the first to buy it"

You feel your face get warm in response to his words, while attempting to concentrate on your studying.

"This is sweet of you to say, but let us focus now on our studies" you assert, feeling his hot breath between your neck and ear.

Slowly your friend pulls out a fancy ring box, placing it on the book infront of you.

"Here is my gift for you" he states.

"You shouldn't have"

It's funny how you don't hide your excitement as you grab the box and open it to reveal a rare pink diamond ring.

You blink twice at what you are seeing, not believing your friend bought a rare diamond ring.

Without wasting much time, you breathe on the diamond.

Real diamonds disperse heat quickly, so the fog should clear immediately.

While fake diamonds may retain the fog for a few seconds.

But the fog cleared immediately.

This diamond is clearly one caret which means it's worth a million.

"You are mad"

"Marilyn Monroe said diamonds are a girl's best friend"

"How did you even buy it?"

"I didn't buy it, it belonged to my mother before she passed away"

Your face saddens at his words but he doesn't seem effected.

"I can't accept this, you should give this to someone special, maybe your future wife"

Evander grabs your left hand, taking your the ring from you before placing it on your fourth finger.

It strangely fitted your finger, not too tight nor too loose.

"It's yours now, you are someone special for me"

Even if you like gifts, you know it's madness to accept such a gift.

Evander acts like you two were childhood best friends.

Or maybe way more then that...

Finally, you manage to find your voice.

"You can't just give me this, Evan," you stammer, trying not to let your emotions show.

"This is too much."Evan laughs in response.

"Maybe it is," he admits, reaching out to play with your hair.

"But I want you to have it."

"I can't take it though," you insist.

"Why not? You are special to me," he replies.

"You mean... as in more than friends?"

The silence between you becomes louder as you wait for his answer.

You needed to clear things up.

"Yes," he replies, leaning closer to your face.

"Leave"

The sudden voice of Dante causes you and Evander to pull away from each other.

And as if Dante's words were commands to be obeyed, Evander stands up, grabs his bag, and leaves the dorm.

"You are back early from the students council meeting" you state.

But your dorm mate doesn't remove his eyes away from your left hand.

"Did he give you that ring?" he asks calmly.

"Yes, not if that is any of your concern" you point out.

"Pardon me?"

Having had enough of his pestering attitude, you finally decided to speak out your mind.

"We need to set boundaries, Dante," you say firmly.

"From now on, I don't want you to interfere in my business."

Dante takes a step back in response, as if realizing he has been overstepping.

"Right...of course," he ponders.

"Look, I just want to make sure everything is okay with you, it's my duty as your dorm mate."

You smile slightly, narrowing your eyes at him.

"Exactly, you are just my  roommate, nothing else"

Those words enraged Dante.

But at the moment, he cannot show his true face, the possessive obsessive one.

He will wait for the write moment.

"Right, I'm nothing but your roommate"
