"Everyone leave the scene right now"
You stare at the statue infront of you in shock.
Someone poured cement on Perseus after killing him then placed his dead body in the courtyard.
Which you find very ironic.
Because, in Greek Mythology, Perseus, son of Zeus, become a statue after turning Medusa 's head towards himself, forgetting the dangers.
Such a horrible way to die.
"It seems like the killer is interested in Greek Mythology"
You Evander say from beside you, but your eyes are kept glued to the cemented body.
"Perseus was a horrible person... but he didn't deserve such a death"
You admit as much as you hated the boy but he didn't deserve such death.
Adding to that, there is a psycho killer on the run who is creative with his murdering tactics.
Your heart races as you glance around the courtyard, the once lively space now eerily silent, save for the distant echoes of students hurrying away from the gruesome scene.
Turning to Evander, your voice barely above a whisper to ask, thinking he might know the answer.
"Who do you think would do this? And why?"
Evander gives you a look that says 'are you being for real, you know why he was murdered'
"OK, I get that Perseus wasn't the best human being but come on, murdering is just horrid and the killer could be targeting other students"
"I don't really care, he deserved it, bully others and find out what happens-"
You quickly place your hands against his lips, pushing him away from the scene in fear that someone might have heard him.
"Are you insane, do you want to be pointed out as the killer... you didn't kill him, did you?"
Evander removes your hands away from him gently, before smiling.
"Do you really think I would do it?"
You raise an eyebrow at him.
"Well, you seem like the least suspect in crime movies who turns out to be the killer in the end"
Evander leans in closer, lowering his voice even further.
"I didn't kill him, but I won't lie, I'm not sad he's gone. You know how he treated people, especially those who couldn't fight back. But no, I didn't do this." He gestures towards the cemented body.
"This is different."
You sigh, feeling afraid now.
Right now, the best thing to do is go to the phone room and call your parents and tell them what happened.
You aren't going to stay in a school with a killer on the run.
🥗🥗🥗
"What do you mean I can't call my parents, I need to call my parents"
"As the president of the student council, I'm to inform you that unfortunately the phones are not working in the time being"
Lucius calm demeanor set you off.
"I. Need. To. Call. My. Parents"
You stress out the words, as a way to annoy him yet he only smirks.
Lucius crosses his arms, leaning back in his chair.
"I understand your concern, but I assure you, it's for everyone's safety, we're currently under lockdown until the authorities arrive, no one in or out, including communication."
You slam your hand on his desk, frustration boiling over.
"This is ridiculous, you have no authority over me"
Lucius stands up from his seat and before you know it, you get grabbed by the lapels of your uniform jacket.
This action forced your body to be shoved forward against the fancy desk.
Lucius's face inches close to yours, his grip tightening on your jacket.
"Listen here, little miss privileged," he growls.
"I am the one in charge here, not you, this isn't some game, there's a killer on the loose, and I will do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe, especially you."
His breath is hot on your face, his eyes burning with intensity.
You struggle slightly, trying to break free from his grasp, but his hold is unyielding.
"Now, sit down," he commands, pushing you into the chair behind you.
"We wait for the police together. Understand?"
"Why do you need me to wait with you?"
"Because a note was found near Perseus body and in it was written something concerning you. "
"What did it say?" you demend as curiosity becomes you.
"It said 'I will kill anyone who harmed, (Y/n) Atticus, before I take her away to become mine' this is all that was written"
Hearing this should have made you frightened but instead, you smile and lean back with one leg crossed over the other.
You say in a calm voice that confused Lucius.
"Well then, you better not make me your enemy or you will end up dead like your friend."

.
.
Actually, you didn't react this way because it would be stupid and suspicious.Instead, you sigh, looking down warily at your hands.
"So, the killer is still going to kill more students if not stopped?"
Lucius nods intertwining his fingers together, sitting his hands on the desk.
"Yes, but I won't allow him to take you away, don't worry, from today on, I'm your protected"
You roll your eyes, trying to hide the unease creeping up your spine.
"Protected by the guy who can't even let me use the phone? Yeah, I feel super secure now."
Lucius's jaw twitches, clearly not amused by your remark.
"I suggest you cooperate, (Y/n), this isn't a joke."
"OK, I will follow your instructions, stop being so upset by everything"
It's truly unfortunate, how you didn't come to the conclusion.
That Lucius is the killer.
