✧˚ ༘ ⋆｡ 𝐒ince the age of cavemen, we have made art. Initially, it took the form of paintings on stone surfaces, serving as a means to communicate. Subsequently, as worship of various deities began, we expressed our reverence through the creation of sculptures, the weaving of tapestries, and the painting of altars.

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡🪐༘⋆ 𝐀s time passed, art often became a weapon, disguising propaganda in a picture. But throughout these ages, there were a few artists who stood out. The child that painted on a stone because he wanted to. The girl who embroidered flowers on a handkerchief, because it made her happy.

๋࣭ ⭑⚝ 𝐀𝐫𝐭 exists not just for its utility but because we humans yearn for it. '𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐞' 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

𝐀𝐫𝐭…One of the most sacred things we have and had from the start of everything.
𝐖hat, then, is art? It is 𝘯𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 solid, gas, nor liquid. It is not the tangible items we handle, consume, or inhale daily. Art is a 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘸𝘢𝘺—a pathway for expression. But what does it express? Everything. It conveys beauty and ugliness, sanity and madness, normality and oddity. Art is the medium through which we can communicate the entirety of our thoughts. It serves as a complement to verbal communication, allowing us to convey those thoughts that defy the confines of language. Art translates our thoughts into emotions, and we use it to express ourselves because, in essence, it embodies those very emotions.
𝐘ou never have looked at a painting, and immediately understood the exact meaning the artist wanted it to have. Because the artist themselves didn't exactly know the meaning of what they were painting. Yet, you felt something.

✧˚ ༘ ⋆｡♡˚ 𝐍ow, let us talk of the many gifts art is. We call them 'categories'. But they are also numbered.

𝐀𝐭 first, one of the most known, 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜.

✩♬ ₊˚₊✧ 𝐌usic is a very widespread form of art that has a knack for melting even the coldest souls. Music often accompanied by another form of art dance comes in many forms. It can express emotions, convey messages or simply light up the mood.
At first, when cavemen had to travel from cave to cave, sounds were around them, and they were always scared, and cautious.

˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚ ❀ 𝐀fterwards, cavemen started listening closely to every sound their ears could catch. From the whistle of the bird to the howl of the wind, to even the hiss of the snake, they started hearing their heartbeats and breath. Centuries and centuries passed, and they were getting slowly accustomed to the fact that the world was alive, as they were.
⋆˙⟡ ♡ 𝐅or many, these days, music is considered better than therapy. We listen to music because, to most of us, it 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 our feelings to ourselves. Instead of having a person telling you what is wrong with you, and who could easily misunderstand you, people listen to music that they vibe with, and that sounds like their own 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 so that it can tell them what's wrong.

♡ྀི ₊ 𝐓hen comes 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, the form of art that is often synonymous with ‘art’ itself. Like any other form of art, it is diverse and often not concrete. People still debate over the meaning and sentiments behind famous paintings like the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci and The Scream by Edward Munch.
‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ  𝐀rtists like Edward Munch (the mystery of 'The Scream'), Van Gogh, and Leonardo Da Vinci (The secret of Mona Lisa's smile) (also known as an inventor) were known because they painted disturbing, or hard-to-understand paintings.
𖤐⭒๋࣭ ⭑ 𝐏ainting and drawing is like writing letters. You write all your hate on a piece of paper and burn it immediately afterwards. You feel relieved. That is the first and foremost important use of painting/drawing.

⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅ 𝐎ne often overlooked form of art is stylized writing or 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲. People who practise calligraphy say that it feels comforting, and relieving, even though it is indeed draining.

˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚❀ 𝐒ome other kinds of art are 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐲 and 𝐬𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠. A little girl finds a raggy, dirty white cloak in the snow, thrown off by some people. She holds a sleeve and has a sudden illumination. Patterns of green, white, silver, red, pink and golden linings around the handcuffs, shoulders and waist. A beautiful patchwork of colours in the back. She takes it and tells her mother to teach her how to sew. This is the power of these arts.

𝐈𝐧 conclusion, we can say that art is every effort that mankind took for no reason other than the want to express and the idea of making the world a more beautiful place.
