We drove for a while before parking in the drive way of a pretty big house. For only two people, this house was much bigger than it was supposed to. Was Kazuha secretly the child of a really rich family??? Like the house was three stories tall and the terrain was super large, I wondered how big the backyard was. Other houses surrounded the road he lived on and the houses were just as big as his.
I never would have thought I would be able to ever visit such a grandiose house.
I got out the car as well as the cream color haired boy and followed behind him towards the house.
"I think my sister's home, so once again, I apologize if you ever feel overwhelmed by her. She can be...very touchy and loud." He warns me once more which made me worry even more about his older sister. But I still wondered what kind of person she was. I also wondered if she was just as magnificent as Kazuha.
He led me to the front door and opened it for me as I slowly walked inside.
I was amazed to see a large open space that looked like one out of those royal films. My mouth was agape as I couldn't help but admire the place. Kazuha noticed my expression and couldn't help but chuckle at me as he passed me and stood in front of me so my eyes would stray onto him.
"It looks like you are enjoying my home already. Do not feel shy to make yourself at home. I could show you to your room if you like. We have extra rooms here, so I'll show you to the prettiest and biggest one in my opinion. I only hope that you'll like it too." He smiles at me as he waves his hand at me to follow him as I oblige and follow him like a lost dog.
After a while of walking a loud voice suddenly rang through my ears as the wide hallways and the wide open spaces made an echo whenever someone spoke.
"Hey Kazuha! Who's this magnificent young lady!?" I slowly turned around only to be covered with hands on my shoulders as I stared up at a beautiful woman who seemed much older than me. She had long brown hair and had a strong and loud but comforting aura.
"Beidou, could you please keep quiet? Y/n isn't used to the echo's in the house and your loud voice." Kazuha calmly sighed as he took a step closer to me as if to protect me from the so called woman named Beidou.
"Oh! My bad! I just couldn't help but have the need to be excited when I saw this cute girl! So you're name is Y/n, huh? What a lovely name! Are you Kazu's girlfriend? And why do you have a backpack on?" She overwhelmed me with her actions and words as she turned me around and put her arm around my neck in a friendly manner, yet I felt invaded.
"Uh, I'm not Kazuha's girlfriend, I'm just a...friend..." I thought about it for a bit as I wasn't used to saying that someone was my friend. I couldn't help but internally smile as I realized I indeed had a friend.
"She's going to be staying with us." He stated as he smiled and gently pulled me away from Beidou's grasp as he held onto my wrist.
Beidou looked at us with wide eyes in surprise as she then smirked at us.
"Whatever, you love birds, I'll be heading out now to visit Ningguang, I have business with her. See you, Y/n~" She turned around as she waved at us from behind as she then disappeared along the hallways.
Kazuha still held onto my wrist until the loud and beautiful woman was out of sight and then let go.
"Let's go." He said as he continued to walk and I followed. I felt a little awkward now, but I didn't mind the silence very much.
We finally arrived in front of another door and he slowly opened it as a ray of sunshine illuminated the room. The room was quite bright from the setting sun outside, the room was also big and a big bed was placed in the middle of it. The ceiling was pretty high up, like the height of me but 4 more times. I was amazed by the fact that this room was going to be mine. And simply for a second, I forgot about all my sorrows and worries. Yet the colors instantly turned grey as I noticed Kazuha staring at my arm. I looked down at it as well, only to see that my long sleeved shirt had lifted up slightly and you could see my bandage.
I panicked instantly as I covered it back with my sleeve and looked up at Kazuha in worry.
But, instead of being faced with a disappointed look, he simply smiled at me. His smile made me feel reassured that everything was okay, his presence was everything to me. If only it were a possibility that he could love back a pathetic person like me.
"Uhm, thanks for letting me stay here, I'm truly sorry if I am a bother and if you want me to leave, then please tell me when I am no longer welcome." I bow down to him as to thank him, but also apologize for my own presence in his life.
"It's alright. You don't need to apologize, I am truly happy that you came to me in need of a place to stay. I really don't mind you staying here cause it feels less lonely having you in my home apart from my older sister." He continued to smile at me as he walked towards the door out of the room and took one last look at me.
"Once you finish unpacking your things and getting used to your room, please do come join me in the dinning room for supper." He then walked away as he closed the door behind him, leaving me in this immense room that was three times bigger than my old one.
For some odd reason, I missed my old home, I felt like I was evading Kazuha's and Beidou's home in being here. I felt like I would only be a burden, and I felt like I didn't belong. But it was only my first time here and this place was much better than a house in which I wasn't treated right. Yet I still missed that feeling of being somewhere with the ones I belong to.
At the same time, I didn't want to go back. Anywhere I went, I never felt like I belonged, so disappearing would be much easier, no?
Only familiar places give me tiny bits of comfort, even if I didn't spend the best of time there.
I hated that. I hated myself for feeling that way.
Why don't I just disappear already.
