~Exile~

The couple stood facing each other as the music began to play, people stood watching as the two of them began dancing to the music, they swayed slowly johns hands laid  softly on Adelaide's hips slowly moving along her back, Adelaide had her arms wrapped around johns neck she smiled as they spun around lightly, johns lips began kissing Adelaide's neck lightly as she stood on her tiptoes pushing John away slightly beige pulling him towards her face, there lips were inches apart but she pulled away. John rolled his eyes with a smile as Adelaide waved her hands towards herself and everyone who was stood surrounding them all joined the two in the middle as everyone began dancing and talking and enjoying themselves.

John had gone off leaving Adelaide to venture off to her sisters as they both stood dancing together, Adelaide made her way over and smiled at her sisters as both of them turned to her "oh addie" Imogen said as she pulled her sister into a hug, not caring if she knocked the veil anymore, Estella looked at her sister as she rolled her eyes "Imogen stop hugging everyone" she said Imogen turned to her "shut up miss bossy pants" she said as she turned to her sister swaying a little "Imogen are you drunk" Adelaide said as she grabbed her sisters shoulder helping her stand "no- I'm- okay maybe" she said as her words begun to slur, Adelaide turned to Estella "take her to mother will you?" Adelaide said as she rested her hand on estellas arm with a roll of her eyes Estella nodded " come on Imogen let's go" she said as she grabbed her sister who was about to walk off "no I wana. Se- oh no he's leaving" Imogen said as tears began pouring down out of her eyes, Estella dragged Imogen behind her and towards the stairs

Adelaide watched as Estelle stumbled a little as Imogen latched onto her and the both of them left the room and up the stairs, she smiled as a women walked past her acting as if the situation before hadn't even happened, Adelaide looked around at all the guests searching for one person in particular

Johns POV

"John boy" Arthur yelled as he made his way towards me and Tommy I pulled him in for a hug "your a married man" Arthur said as I laughed "I'm proud of ya" he said as he pulled away and patted his hand on my back Tommy smiled and nodded "we're all proud of ya John" he said as all the peaky blinders began cheering "so what do you think of your wife" Arthur asked as he smirked at me I shook my head whilst smiling "she's beautiful and I don't know I think I love her" i said as the words left my mouth I looked around and caught sight of Adelaide as she stood talking to her sisters, she looked a little bit agitated, I looked at her for little while before turning back to my brothers "so you love her" Arthur said I nodded "yes" i said  it was true, I really do love her even though I barely know her and I don't even have any memories with her yet.

But if I was now married to her I would want to learn to love her and I hope she could the same and not regret her marrying me, as me and brothers kept talking about Adelaide she soon appeared beside me I lifted my arm up and wrapped it around her shoulders "what you talkin bout" she said looking up at me I looked down at her "you my darling" i said  "they better be good things" she said as she laughed a little 'god I love her laugh' I thought as Arthur bursted out laughing he was definitely drunk " he definitely is smitten for you" Arthur said as he threw another drink down his throat before walking off, tommy looked at me and Adelaide with a serious look "you better treat her right John" he said as he placed his hand on my shoulder before following after Arthur

Adelaide laughed as I told her a joke about something random, she shook her head "you know your funny right" she asked I nodded "I like to think Iam" I said she nodded as she leaned against my shoulder I laid my head against her shoulder as her hands went over my chest and back up 'god she so fucking pretty' I thought she pulled away looking down "can we leave?" She asked I looked at her as I lifted her chin with my hand "you sure?" I asked she nodded softly, I grabbed her hand and we both walked over to her parents "mother" she said her parents both turned to us "yes my sweet flower" her mother said as she placed her hand on hers daughters face " we are leaving now" i said Charles looked at me nodding "oh alright" he said "her stuff is all packed upstairs" he said walking off

I turned to Adelaide she had a saddened look on her face but before I could say anything she stormed off and out the double doors, I quickly went after her and the both of us ended up on the stairs her right ahead of me and me a few steps away from her, she sped walk to her bedroom opening the door and walking in I  sped up a little and walked in behind her and sure enough her stuff was packed.

she seemed angry I looked over at her as she grabbed her pillow and lobbing it "hey what's wrong" I yelled she ignored me as she grabbed another one and lobbing it again, I ran over to her and grabbed her body before she could throw another one I turned her body to face me and placed my hands on her face forcing her too look at me "listen I know your angry but you need to tell me what's wrong" i said Adelaide put her hands over mine "it's my father John" she said I nodded a little "he treats me right all the time but the second something happens to his precious business he gives me away for some stupid marriage" she said "you think this marriage is stupid" i asked she looked at me with wide eyes I could feel the regret radiating from her, the way she looked at me showed me she that she really regretted those 2 words 'stupid marriage' she froze as she closed her eyes,

A lonely tear fell from her eyes I quickly wiped it away not wanting to see her beautiful face be ruined by her tears, i looked down at her, I pulled her into me and roughly pushed my lips onto hers, she responded by kissing me me back and I felt her begin to push my suit jacket off my shoulders, I wanted to wait until we got home but she really wanted this and I wanted this so I let it happen.
