Before I could make it to the end of the alley a felt someone grab my wrist and yanked me back.

Adelaide looked at the stranger before her petrified she tried to look away but a hand grasped her face pulling her face to look at theirs " Mrs Shelby right?" They asked Adelaide looked at the person before her she looked at his face in confusion "who are you?" She asked "I'm chief inspector Campbell" he said Adelaide tried getting out of his grip, but he kept his arms on her body holding her against the brick wall "what-d- do you want" she asked as her voice began to shake as tears began falling down her face "I want to send a message to your husband" he said Adelaide felt like she was a little girl again as the man before spoke down at her, he made her feel small.
But before she could say anything her head was pushed against the wall a couple times, her vision went blurry, the man before her whistled, two coppers approached the both of them as they dragged her by the arms and towards a car, Adelaide was thrown into the car, as it drove off.
Adelaide awoke when she felt a cold sensation on her whole body she awoke with a gasp she looked ahead of her to see a copper who stood with a bucket slowly stepping away from her, she began to move her hands around but her hands were tied to a chair, she looked at the coppers before her, they looked at her with disgust she looked down to the floor and closed her eyes, the sound of footsteps coming towards Adelaide were getting louder before they stopped right before her, she lifted her head up to see the chief inspector he looked at her with a smile before nodding at the coppers, one copper came up to her and smacked her across the face causing her to cry out another one came over and did the same the last copper came over and punched her across the mouth.
Adelaide looked at the coppers who were untying her her vision was blurry but she could see them a little, she lifted her first swinging it towards one of them she felt her hand hit something hard and her vision began to come back but was soon gone when something hard was smacked against her head, her body fell against the two coppers who later dragged her body back towards the car.
A women who was walking down the street with her youngest son heard the sound of tires approaching and turning into a skid across the road before the back of it opened and two coppers opened the door throwing a girl out of the back, the women pulled her son against her as they stopped, the women waited until the car was gone before she began running towards the girl lauds on the floor, the women looked down at girl before she gasped "Mrs Shelby" she said as she tried waking up Adelaide but she was unconscious the women leant her head down against the girls mouth waiting to hear a pulse, she lifted her head back up after hearing one, she turned to her son "right jake, I want you to run to the garrison okay and ask for a man named Shelby alright" she said the women knew who this girl was she had seen her walking down the street a couple times with one of the Shelby brothers.
The women pushed her son towards the direction of the garrison, her son Jake ran and ran until her made it to the garrison the boy ran in looking around before running upto Harry "everything alright kid" Harry said the kid shook his head out of breathe "I'm looking for the Shelby brothers" he said Harry moved so quickly that he nearly tripped, he ran over to the door knocking on the door were she shelby brothers sat laughing and drinking the door opened and Harry told Tommy that there's kid here to see them, Tommy nodded letting the kid come inside.
John and Arthur looked at each other whilst Tommy looked at the boy as he waited for the boy to speak "my mother told me to come look for the Shelby brothers" he said as he looked at the three of them "did she tell you why" Arthur asked the boy nodded "we were walking down the street when a car had pulled up and a girl was thrown out the back by two coppers, my mother said that she's a Shelby" the boy said the three Shelby brothers all stood up grabbing thee coats and peaky caps "can you take us to we're your mother is" Tommy said as he kneeled in front of the boy he nodded and ran out the door and towards the pub doors opening whether and waiting for the Shelby boys to follow him.
The Shelby boys including Jake were running towards watery lane were the boys mother sat with Adelaide beside her she lifted the girl against her trying to wake her up but to no Advil she couldn't get her to open her eyes, as she tapped her face the sound of people running on the wet pavement, the women turned her head to see her son behind him were three men who she recognised straight away as the Shelby brothers the three of them froze as they looked at the scene before them, john ran forward falling to his knees, the women moved away as she stood up "I didn't know what to do" the women said as she began to cry Arthur walked towards the women "I'll take you home love" he said as he helped the women up "come on boy i get yous home" he said, the women and her Son followed Arthur as Tommy looked down at John as he placed a hand over his mouth.
John picked up Adelaide as he laid her body in his lap "Addie, wake up" he said john began shaking her after a little while her eyes opened "john" she said her voice was raspy John turned her body around as he hugged her pulling her against his body tightly.
