Ada sat rocking her baby as polly stood making tea, Adelaide leant against the arm of the sofa staring at the baby in Ada's arms as she stared at Ada a smile slowly crept on her face, a knock sounded on the door making Adelaide stand onto her feet and walked over to the door and opening it to reveal a man who pushed past her and towards the room were Ada sat holding her baby, as Adelaide followed after the man she watched as knelt down in front of Ada as the both of them looked at the baby "his names Karl" Ada said the man before her nodded and smiled up at her
Polly made her way towards the two as she placed the tray of tea she just made onto the table before walking over to the fire place and grabbing a box, she looked back at the two before turning back to what she was previously doing, as Adelaide looked at the two she started to walk towards the kitchen but soon turned back around when the a knock sounded at the door, she quickly walked over and opened the door as she slowly opened the door it was barged in as three coppers came barging in "you can't come in here" Adelaide shouted but the three coppers just barged past her shoving her into the wall as the stormed towards Ada who now stood up yelling at the cops "Freddy, no stop don't hurt him" but her yelling was completely ignored as the coppers pushed Freddy against the door as he yelled in pain
Ada was held back by polly as she kept yelling, Freddy was dragged out as Adelaide just watched in shock, the coppers dragged Freddie away and into there car before driving off leaving the three women in the house stood in shock and ada sat down in the chair as tears fell out of her eyes, polly stood looking at Ada as her blood boiled, without thinking she ran towards the door leaving Adelaide and Ada alone.
Adelaide looked over at Ada with a saddened look she felt bad for the woman beside her she never liked it when people got taken away she had never seen it but she had always heard of it when she was younger and it always made her feel sad, she stood up walking over to the kitchen and picked up a cup she turned the Tap on and held the cup underneath watching as the water poured into her cup, she turned the tap off before bringing it towards Ada and sat beside her the two women didn't exchange any words just sat looking at the table, Adelaide pulled the cup towards her lips and taking a sip
After a couple hours polly, Tommy Arthur and John all walked in, polly walked over to Ada and asked Adelaide to move so she could sit beside Ada, she nodded as she stood up and grabbed her coat that laid on the floor, John walked towards his wife and pulled her into a hug, he looked over at Arthur and Tommy nodding as he pulled Adelaide along with him towards the door and outside into the street of watery lane, Adelaide stood outside waiting for her husband as he shut the door, the both of them walked across the street and over to there home Adelaide reached for the handle and twisted it before walking in with John following.
