3:20 PM

Crossing my legs under my body, I lean back on the couch, scrolling through my phone and waiting for Noah to join me from the bedroom.

Today was a significant day for us.

It was like watching all the puzzle pieces come together, after months and months of standby time.

Far too scared to move without the backing or support from others.

Revenge was something that I liked to sit on, cultivating the best moment to strike my opponent, hitting them when they least expected it.

Especially when they were already down...

"Alright babes, Alex deh outside" Noah calls, walking towards the front door.

I nod, acknowledging his statement as I place my feet on the ground.

He walks over to the doorpost, turning the nob before stepping out on the verandah to pull the grill.

"Yow!" he exclaims, and I turn, catching a glimpse of the top of Alex's head.

Cyaa believe seh dis really a happen.

It's been a crazy week, and crazy is an understatement.

Alex daps Noah up, hesitating at first, but pushing past whatever anxiety he held about the interaction.

Hope seh him nah second guess...

"Sevana" he greets, gesturing in my direction as he walks into the living room.

"Alex" I echo his sentiment.

A few nights ago, Noah overheard a conversation between Alex's dad and the Cohen's dad, about someone vandalizing Alex's car.

Before he even heard the full story he knew who the culprit was.

Who else could it be these days?

The person had also been harassing Alex, showing up at his house all hours of the night, popping up on him around town to threaten him, the whole nine yards.

It had Sarai written all over it.

Noah was the first to make a move, he came home that night and texted Alex before I even had dinner set out on the dining table.

It was as if luck had turned its favor in our direction.

Did haffi tek advantage of this.

"Sit anywhere bro, yuh wah water? Anything to drink?" Noah beams, throwing his body down next to me on the couch.
