After getting in her armor and grabbing her spear, Y/N immediately made her way to where she could maybe fight off the demons. She didn't have to look for long, or even use much of her hearing to find them.

Considering the demon and some random kid in a delivery car we're having a car chase through the city. Y/N sighed, face palming as she looked down at the scene. She glanced at Xiaotan Quan. "Quan, scout for more demons around, I'll handle the situation." She ordered.

The celestial hound woofed in response and began to jump from roof to roof to see if there were any other demons. Y/N, however, immediately shadow teleported on top of the car, making a soft thud sound. She leaned over so the kid in the car could see her. "Hey, license and registration?" She joked with a smile.

The kid let out a yelp of surprise. He had brown hair, a red bandana, a yellow jacket over a white T-shirt, and some red pants. But what shocked Y/N the most was HE WAS HOLDING MONKEY KING'S STAFF!

The kid had to swerve to avoid something but looked at Y/N, confused and panicked. "Please tell me you're not here to attack me too?" He asked, desperation clear in his voice.

Y/N smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, kid, I'm a celestial. Mind telling me what happened? I'll keep the demon off ya tracks." She offered. The kid nodded quickly and let out multiple yeses.

Y/N couldn't help but chuckle. Mortals were so cute when they panicked. She quickly made a shadow portal open up beneath them and put them on a different street. "Alright, that should buy us some time. Now, explain." She said, hopping into the car on the other side.

The kid had slowed the speed but was still driving moderately fast. He began explaining, albeit in a very word-vomit way, how he got into this. That he was a delivery boy for a noodle shop, how he had accidentally stumbled upon the demon Bull family, how he had grabbed the staff, and now the demon prince was chasing him for it, but he wanted to give it to Monkey King.

Y/N sighed, glancing away and contemplating everything. "Okay, kid. Listen," She began, the panicked teen glanced at her, as if hoping for some sage advice or something. "I can't get you to Flower Fruit Mountain," his face fell but Y/N continued.

"However, I can distract the demon long enough for you to find a way. As long as you promise not to let that staff fall into the hands of anyone but Monkey King." She finished, the kid nodded and had a determined look.

The kid smiled and extended his hand. "I'm MK by the way. What's your name?" He asked excitedly. Y/N chuckled, shaking his hand with her tail. "The Six-Eared Y/N, warrior of the celestial realm. It's a pleasure to meet you." She responded, ears perking up.

When the kid pulled away from the handshake, he had to wipe off some strands of fur that got on his hand. Y/N chuckled softly. "Oh, sorry. That happens sometimes." She explained. After a few minutes, she turned back to the kid. "Ready to go back?" She asked, tail curling and uncurling behind her.

MK nodded, tightening his hold on the staff. "Yeah. I think so." He replied. Y/N smirked before putting up an illusion to make her look like the kid, and her weapon looked like the staff. "Good, because we're going now." She stated before opening another shadow portal.

MK let out a surprised yelp as the car landed where it had been earlier, the demon prince driving not far behind them. Y/N quickly readied herself, winking at the kid before jumping out of the car and going in the opposite direction.

"HEY, DEMON BOY! OVER HERE!" She called, using the best replica of the human boy's voice she could. The fire demon growled in annoyance, turning to go after her instead. Y/N smirked, ears twitching under the disguise. She quickly made her way to the rooftop of a building and jumped from rooftop to rooftop.

"UGH! GET BACK HERE, NEWDLE BOI!" He yelled, flames erupting from his hair. Y/N simply giggled, having to use all her concentration so as not to drop the illusion. She needed to buy that kid more time to get away.

She simply looked back and stuck out her tongue at the prince. "Come and get me then!" She shouted back before moving a bit faster. She could hear the demon let out a noise of aggravation behind her.

She just had a little further to go and she'd be able to turn around and fight this guy. Well, that was her hope anyway. Honestly, Y/N was very nervous about it.

Y/N had only ever been on scouting missions, retrievals, reconnaissance, and fights against low-power demons. She was good, but she'd never been up against demon royalty or anyone close to Redson's power level. Or at least, not anyone she wasn't just training against.

She heard the roar of the truck's engine and looked back. He was gaining on her. Oh, well. This was as good a time as any.

Y/N jumped off one rooftop and in a puff of F/C smoke, she revealed herself. She smiled and pointed her weapon towards the truck, which had swerved to a stop. "Halt in the name of the Celestial realm and Heavenly Court!" She ordered, using her best 'strict guard' voice.

The demon prince hopped out of his car, slamming the door closed. He walked over to stand a few feet away from her. There was a glint of malice in his eyes. He had a confident stance, hands in his pockets as he looked Y/N over.

"This is all the celestial realm sent to stop my family? A measly, low-rank, goon?" He asked mockingly, as he glared at her. A few moments later he burst out laughing, hugging his sides.

Y/N felt her ears warm up as she tried to keep her confident stance. He was right, technically she wasn't that high in the ranks. Still, she wasn't some ranking goon. She was the apprentice of a fierce general after all.

She thudded her spear against the ground, causing a small wave of shadows to draw his attention, nearly knocking him off balance. Y/N couldn't help the small smirk at his slightly startled look.

She then pointed her spear at him, narrowing her eyes. "I order you to stand down and surrender in the name of the celestial army. If you surrender now I will let you go peacefully." She stated, with a little edge to her voice.

The demon prince chuckled darkly, before grabbing the end of the spear pointed at him and yanking it out of her grasp. Y/N stumbled slightly, not expecting him to do that. Great. Now he had her weapon.

He twirled the spear in his hands, rubbing his thumb over the blade. "This is cute. But you wanna know your mistake?" He asked, in a rhetorical way as if he'd say it anyway. Y/N was going to lunge at him to try and get her weapon back but was suddenly grabbed by her shoulders and pushed against the ground by multiple bull clones.

She struggled as much as she could, but they were just too heavy. She stifled a growl as she managed to look up, glaring at the demon prince.

Redson snickered as he walked over to her, using the blunt end of her spear to tilt her head up. "Your foolish mistake was facing me alone." He answered the question he had asked, before chuckling again.

He looked down at the spear he was holding with a bored expression as he kept speaking before a sinister smirk crossed his lips. "Though, a hostage is a nice gift to give to my Father, hm? I do have a lot of presents to catch up on with him." He pondered, and that was the last thing Y/N heard before she was knocked out with her own spear.
