A sharp pain in the head hit Y/N when she started to come to. She groaned as she shook her head and slowly opened her eyes. Though she quickly wished she hadn't.
She was tied up in some sort of underground base with a lot of lava, fire, conveyor belts, and bull clones. The smell of smoke and sulfur hitting her senses made her scrunch up her nose in disgust.
Y/N quickly pieced together what had happened after she passed out. She really hoped she had bought that MK kid enough time to get away. Or that he at least managed to keep the demon prince from getting the staff.
Y/N could escape right now. But.... She'd have to teleport back home or to Erlang. She didn't know this layout after all. And if she teleported away, they'd never know where the Demon Bull family's hideout was. It made more sense if she stayed caught.
So, she sat back and just relaxed. She was good at just listening for clues. But here it was kinda difficult. The hissing sound of the lava bubbling and being poured the clanging of metal, the workings of machinery. All of it drowned out everything else.
However, when she heard footsteps of heels clacking against the floor coming towards her, she looked up. Her ears twitched as she quickly cast an illusion to hide two sets of her ears.
The demoness in dark red and gold with long black hair walked over, looking Y/N up and down. Y/N knew who she was. Princess Iron Fan, wife of the Demon Bull King. She let out a hmph sound as she walked closer.
"Well, you must be the celestial my son caught." She mused. Y/N smirked, tail twitching slightly. "Figured that out all by yourself, did ya?" She replied in a feigned innocent tone, cocking her head to the side.
The demoness narrowed her eyes. "Do not test my patience, child. You have no idea who you're talking to." She threatened. Y/N honestly did feel she was playing with fire a bit by this but she really didn't care.
Y/N smirked and shrugged, leaning against the wall. "No, I know who you are. I just don't really care." She replied, letting her tail rest on her lap.
The demoness looked Y/N over again with a more curious expression. She walked over and grabbed Y/N by the face. Y/N felt a sudden bit of fear jolt through her again, unknowingly dropping the illusions.
When the illusion fell, Princess Iron Fan gasped slightly and took a step back, letting go of the girl. Though, she quickly composed herself and glared at the simian. "Who are you?" She demanded, her tone low and dangerous.
Y/N hesitated. What could she say? That she was a girl whose name was lost to time? Or.... No. She knew what to say. She met the woman's gaze with a steadfast look. "I'm a warrior of the celestial realm and the apprentice of General Erlang." She answered.
The demoness shook her head. "No. That's not all of it. I know those ears. Only one other simian has ears like that. So, who ARE you?" She demanded again.
Y/N was a bit stunned, normally people didn't question her like this. But, she should've known this would happen. She knew how close the Demon Bull family was to her brother.
She sighed, creating a shadow portal beneath her before popping up again, untied and spear in her hands. "I'm the Six-Eared Y/N. That's all you need to know. And sadly, this is where our interaction ends. Ciao!" She said before portalling again, letting herself fall into the darkness below.

She landed on a boat next to the kid, MK. "Hey, kid." She greeted nonchalantly, leaning against her spear as her tail curled and uncurled nervously.
Both the kid and the girl next to him jumped up in surprise and nearly fell over. There were a few others on the boat who had similar reactions. Though MK soon calmed down and let out a relieved laugh.
"Oh, it's you. Hi!" He replied. The girl next to him tapped him on the shoulder and quietly whispered. "Um, MK, who is this?" She asked in a hushed tone, though Y/N still heard it.
Y/N chuckled, tossing up her spear so it turned into a hair clip. She put the hair clip in her hair and smiled. "Where are my manners? I'm Six-Eared Y/N, apprentice of Erlang and a celestial warrior...." She paused for a moment before faking a cough. "In training." She finished quietly.
The girl looked at her with an amazed look. "Woah! A celestial warrior? That's so cool!" She squealed, stars in her eyes.
"It's you! From the shop!" A somewhat familiar voice exclaimed. Y/N glanced towards a couch on the boat, where Tang and Pigsy were sitting. She waved at them and laughed sheepishly.
"Oh, hey! Sorry about earlier. Mystic mumbo jumbo and all." She apologized, ears perking up a bit. After a lot of excitement and a few small explanations on how she and MK had met, Y/N quickly found herself a seat on the edge of the boat, overlooking the water.
She felt... Nervous. She knew where they were headed. She'd only been to Flower Fruit Mountain once when she was but a child. Even so, she hadn't even met the Monkey King at that time. Plus, he did kill her brother.
She wasn't exactly looking forward to this... But it was necessary for the good of the world. Demon Bull King was dangerous, and if he got his hands on the staff... Well, she shuddered to think what would happen should that happen.
But she tried to tell herself the good side of this. Number one, she'd been here before so it wasn't unknown terrain. Number two, Monkey King wouldn't know her and if she used her illusions he wouldn't suspect anything. Number three, maybe they could solve this without involving the celestial army.
Y/N must've zoned out as a bark drew her attention. She looked down and smiled as she saw Xiaotan Quan looking up at her with his normal dopey expression and wagging tail.
She chuckled and patted her lap, inviting the hound up. Xiaotan Quan barked and jumped into her lap, turning into the small form of a puppy so he fit.
She looked out at the sea and sky, listening to the waves as she ran her hand through the hound's fur. "I'll make you proud, Liu'er. I promise." She whispered, letting the wind drown out her words.
