„Please miss Adam's,I don't want to go just let me stay here with you"

„As much as I'd love to Todd but the choice has been made,I'm sure a wonderful family will adopt you as soon as you step after those gates!" Ms.Adams spoke, trying her best to cheer him up.

"Please,,I don't want to go—" Todd's voice broke as he felt like he was about to start crying before the man in the carriage spoke,
"Mr.Clifton this is your stop."
"You were a wonderful child to take care of for the past week Todd,we'll meet again someday"
"Please—please don't do this" Todd spoke tears starting to form in his eyes before the carriage door gets opened,
"Todd! We've been waiting for you!" A woman spoke in a kind tone,Todd had never seen her in his life but she must be one of the caretakers in the Orphanage.
"I uhm-" He couldn't make up a sentence since ms.Adams gave him a gentle push to make him step out of the carriage and meet the caretaker.
"I'm Todd,Todd Clifton." He spoke as he gave out his hand to shake which his father always advised him to do when he met new people since he wasn't the greatest with socializing,he missed his father.
"Call me madam Applebury" she smiled as she gave out her hand for him to gently shake, not as a firm handshake as he had thought.

He noticed the many boys playing outside on the big field before the old orphanage that was paired with a big gate which was a bit unsettling.
"Todeloo!" Ms.Adams Waves before she throw out my two suitcases as the carriage door closed and she drove off.
I sigh while I look at the carriage slowly fading away in the fog,
"Let's get you settled in shall we?" Madam Applebury spoke as she took the suitcases and walked through the big front yard into the orphanage with Todd.
