"Shit." She cursed softly, her eyes wide. Callan let her go, letting her stand off to the side. I smirked as Zachary tutted at her.
"Now now, such filthy words out of such a sweet mouth." He stepped towards her, gently touching the necklace around her neck.
"I'm sorry... I'm a little confused right now." She whispered, her hands fidgeting with her fingers from the nerves.
"Remember when I told you about my friends?" Callan hinted, making her eyes widen again. She looks at Zachary for confirmation, her shoulders sagging a little when he nods.
"I'm sorry. I know what I was doing wasn't fair... I just didn't know what to do." She panics, her eyes falling to her feet. I cross my arms and tilt my head, studying her. We all stayed quiet, letting her thoughts run wild in her mind. "For heaven's sake, say something!"
"What do you want us to say?" Zachary asked, keeping his voice calm so that he didn't set her off. She looks at him confused, then looks at us.
"I don't know... aren't you mad that I.. well, you know." She murmured, her hands moving to her hips, rubbing her palms against her dress before letting them drop, a worried look on her face.
"You want the truth or the sugarcoated version?" Callan asked, watching her from his spot. Her eyes moved to his, glancing over his face.
"The truth..?" She said hesitantly. Callan shook his head and gave her a look. "The sugarcoated one." She said a little more confidently. Poor thing was scared of the truth.
"Were you planning on choosing one of us?" He asked, making her eyes grow as wide as saucers. She looked at Zachary, then at me, and then landed on Callan again. Zachary took a few steps back, giving her space.
"Would I be a bad person if I said no..?" She whispered, looking back down at her feet. I couldn't help but chuckle, moving away and to the mini fridge, grabbing a water bottle. "I'll take that as a yes."
I turned around and narrowed my eyes at her. I walk back towards them, taking a sip of water before handing her the bottle, watching her look down at it confused.
"Your throat is dry." I mumble, stepping away from her. She looked shocked at how I called her out. I could tell from the slight squeaks in her words and how she was swallowing every couple of seconds. "And our answer is no."
"Angel, Neither one of us will think of you differently because of that. But just answer me this, why is it that you wouldn't choose one of us?" Callan asked, leaning against the desk.
"Do I have to answer that?" She murmurs, her palm wrapping around the bottle a little tightly.
"Brooklyn." Zachary caught her attention. She looked at him with anxious eyes, clearly noticing her name on his tongue instead of the nickname. "You can leave at any time. We won't hold it against you. If you're uncomfortable or scared, just tell us."
"I can't choose any of you. I don't know why but I can't. I'm sorry if I made you three upset." She said finally, breathing in softly. I could tell she had a little confidence that tried to peek out the curtains. I knew that when she placed her hands on my chest a few moments ago.
"Sit with us... please." Zachary urged, holding out his hand for her. She hesitantly put hers in his, letting him guide her to the couches. She sat on the smaller seat and the three of us sat on the bigger one. We were facing each other perfectly.
"Do you know anything about polyamory?" Callan asked, making her space off. We looked at her oddly, waiting for her to come back. I wonder why she does that so much.
"Barely. I remember reading something about polygamy for an essay... is that the same?" She asked, zoning back in.
"Sort of. Polyamory is when a person has two or more lovers." Callan told her, making her eyes widen. She pointed at Callan then at Zachary and I.
"Are you-?" She whispered cautiously, making our eyes widen. Zachary covered his face as he hollered out in laughter. Callan was laughing also but trying to stop Zachary from hitting him with laughter.
I looked back at Brooklyn to see the most gorgeous smile on her face. Her eyes were on the two hyenas, her shoulders relaxing as she watched them. Her eyes moved to me, her eyes catching mine. Her eyes seemed to light up even more when she looked at me, making me quirk an eyebrow.
She raised both her pointer fingers and pressed them to her cheeks, making me realize I was smiling a little too hard. She saw the damn dimples.
Callan and Zachary finally stopped laughing and shook their head.
"No," Zachary said, his voice wavering slightly at his attempt to not laugh. "We have no feelings for each other except for our brotherly love."
"The three of us share one girl." Callan explained further. I watched her face for a reaction, but she was still staring at my cheeks. "What did we miss?"
"He has dimples..." She whispered, giving me a cheeky smile. Callan and Zachary both looked at her in shock then at me. I glared at them, silently daring them to say something. "Pause. Share?? One girl?? The three of you?!"
I couldn't help but smirk at the late reaction.
"Yeah. It's not really a common practice in society but it's what feels right. Each of us doesn't like having a submissive who needs us but can't get to us because of our work. But when it's us three, she'll always have at least one of us." Callan explained, giving her a small smile.
"I'm sorry but, why are you telling me this?" She asked confused, staring at us with furrowed brows.
"Because we want to share you." I tell her. Her lips part slightly and she stares at me. I regretted opening my mouth when she stood up, walking towards the desk before turning around and walking back to us. She paced around the whole room for the next two or three minutes. The only sound in the room was the clicks of her heels.
"Okay so when I kissed Zachary, you guys knew?" She asked out of nowhere, putting her hands on her hips and narrowing her eyes at us. I couldn't help but stare at her figure. Her hips and thighs were screaming for our eyes to be on them. Her little dress was hiked up a little from how she had her hands on her hips.
"They also knew about when you and I kissed. We all knew about the dates you had with Zach and me, and we all saw you kiss Atticus as if he was oxygen and you were suffocating." Callan says casually, making her gape at him.
"Why would you wanna share me?" She asks softly, looking down at the ground. Her self-degrading pulled at my heartstrings. "Surely there's another option."
"Angel. We want you. Not any other person. You're sweet and compassionate. And you, at various times, have given all of us a chance to see how perfect you would be with us. Just think about it. We aren't looking for an answer right now. You can tell it to us now, tomorrow, a week from now, or even two months from now." Callan tells her, standing up and taking her hands in his.
"But we want an answer. And if the answer is no, we won't hold it against you. This isn't everyone's cup of tea." Zachary says, being next to go to her. He stood behind her and twirled her ponytail around his finger. I stood and walked to her.
"Be our girl..." I whispered, gently touching her cheek with my pointer finger, pushing into it slightly, making her smile at the reminder.
