Penny woke up the next day. Ember had taken everything out of her old mining backpack so she could use it for school. When Penny left, Theo was standing there.

"Did you find anything interesting?" Theo asked as they started walking.

"Sort of. Apparently they are building like a corpse cave or something, but they aren't much of a threat. They're as dumb as us." Penny said spinning her laser pointer.

"Really, a laser pointer?"

"It works though doesn't it?"

"Somehow." Theo looked up and saw a red dot on the wall.

"What's that?" Penny was snickering. Theo looked over and saw her pointing the laser pointer at the wall.

"Ha, cat." Penny laughed.

"I swear to robogod!" Theo started to chase Penny down the stairs. The school was on the eighth floor. Other drones from different levels started to follow them. Penny still thought the entire thing was dumb. When they got to the floor, Penny and Theo just stopped. The entire place looked depressing. It looked like a normal hallway except there were some sad lockers and poor decorations on the wall. The other worker drones got ready for class.

"This is so dumb." Penny groaned.

"I actually agree with you." Theo replied. Penny pulled out a schedule Ember gave her out of her pocket. They threw their stuff in the assigned locker and went to class. Somehow the classrooms were even more depressing than the hallway. Some chairs were in circles with a bunch of teens chattering to each other. A tired teacher with a black mustache and orange eyes walked in to the room. He was holding a mug that said World's Okayest Teacher.

"Grace, stop gossiping about Tom. You've terrorized him enough." The teacher said in a low voice. A drone with short brown wavy hair, red eyes, and a shoulder less blue shirt got up rolling her eyes.

"What would you know about true love?" Grace asked. She looked over at another drone in the corner with short black hair and blue eyes. She blew him a kiss as he and the teacher visibly cringed. She pulled her seat back to her desk, which was next to Penny's. She kept laughing with her friends, who were sitting next to her.

"I guess we found Ms. Popular." Penny mumbled. She looked over at Theo. His eyes were glued on Grace.

"Uh, Theo?" She said waving her hand in front of his visor. He blinked and looked the other way. A little bit of blush appearing on his visor. Penny stopped.

"I swear to robogod dude, don't get hypnotized by popular drones' pretty looks! We all look almost the same anyways." Theo rolled his eyes. The teacher cleared his throat as he called attendance. Grace looked over at Penny.

"Are you new here?" Grace asked.

"Uh, yeah. I'm not a big fan of human things." Penny replied rubbing the back of her neck. Grace leaned over her desk to look at Theo. He avoided contact as he blushed.

"Are you two siblings or something?"

"Nah, we're just friends. Best friends." Penny put her arm over Theo's shoulder. He just awkwardly smiled at Grace. Grace squinted.

"Wait a second, aren't you two those drones who would sneak out everyday from the mines?" Penny and Theo nodded

"That's pretty co-"

"Grace, new drones, no talking." The teacher interrupted. All three of them rolled their eyes. The teacher started to teach the class about the angles of triangles. Penny was about to fall asleep as Theo kept staring at Grace. After a slow and painful two hours, the class was dismissed. Penny grabbed Theo by the hand and they ran out as fast as they could.
