Hi guys! We're at 1000 reads!!!! That is insane. Thank you so much for reading this far. Hopefully you enjoy this chapter.

Ivy's POV

"Oooooh I love this!" Shopping with Isabella and Scarlette is...interesting. We've spent about three hours roaming the city already and I've got to admit it, the place is beautiful. In the centre of the city square, there's a fountain with an oak tree statue, spouting lilac coloured water that glows in the sunlight. Everything is so colourful and bright.

I'm still getting used to seeing so many supernaturals just walking around and mingling with one another and I've had to pinch myself on more than one occasion just to double check this isn't some elaborate dream I've made up.

They spent about half an hour showing me around the city before dragging me to the shopping centre, which I'm not exactly complaining about. Isabella is starting to warm to me, although I doubt she'd ever admit it and has even started a conversation with me of her own free will.

Scarlette is acting like a kid in a candy shop, especially since Owen gave us the royal credit card to use. She's been forcing us to buy as many clothes as we can possibly carry, before tossing the bags to the poor bodyguards hired to keep an eye on us. We've had a few people stare at us, but mostly because Isabella and Scarlette are highly respected. No one knows about me yet, which means I'm left alone to shop in peace.

Scarlette tosses another dress my way with a grin, before turning to rummage through another rack.

"She can't possibly have the time to wear all this?" I question, cringing at the ever growing pile Scarlette has made on a nearby chair.

Isabella smiles as she watches her, nodding along whenever Scarlette gushes about her latest find. "She'll change about three times a day just so she can wear it. She likes to refresh our wardrobe at least once a month and throw parties purely to dress up."

I laugh, shaking my head when Scarlette holds up a pair of stilettos.

"Not my thing," I say to her, nodding towards a pair of chunky platforms instead. "I can't walk in shoes with a skinny heel."

"Suit yourself." She shrugs, turning to Isabella. "Wanna fuck me in these?" I turn beet red as Scarlette flutters her lashes, swinging the heels in Isabella's face. Isabella just grins, taking them from her and adding them to the pile.

After another hour, Scarlette decides she's finally done, making Isabella and I heave a sigh of relief. As much as I love shopping, my feet ache from walking around for hours on end. We grabbed some lunch then headed back to the car to go back to the palace. The whole time I was away I forgot about Mark and the potential danger waiting for me, but the closer we got, the more tense I became.

Isabella and Scarlette didn't notice my sudden change, too wrapped up in each other. The sight made my heart warm, before remembering what Mark had said. Would Owen and Leo really cast me aside for someone more suitable for the throne?

The jostle of the car stopping brought me back to the present. A guard opens the door for me, tipping his head in respect. I give him a small smile before walking up to the palace doors. They're thrown open by Owen, who launches himself at me and peppers my face with kisses.

"I thought they'd never bring you back," he exclaims dramatically, sweeping me up in his arms and running up the stone steps. Leo waits in the foyer, a smile tugging at his lips as he watches Owen and I. I can't help the blush that forms on my cheeks at how eager they both are to have me back, helping squash some of the insecurities Mark put in my head.
