The next day, Candy thought of the guy she rescued. 'I wonder what Mushroom Boy is doing right now? I bet he's catching criminals as we speak or creating a bouncy castle for kids.' She chuckled as she imagined the scene while eating breakfast. Therefore, the chocolate croissant, fruit salad, and a glass of water were sufficient. She had a day off instead of recovering at home. She decided to go shopping at the mall. She walked past an expensive hotel when she spotted Wade talking to some guy in a grey suit. 'Wade? I guess he's with a friend. I won't bother him,' she thought, averting her gaze from his direction. Candy knew he had seen her. However, she didn't want to trouble him.

"Candy, you're walking away without saying hello!" Wade yelled.

She didn't want to turn back and thought, 'Why is he so troublesome?'

"Candy?" Wade repeated. He was surprised to see a beautiful woman like her still exists, a natural beauty dressed in a fitted cream suit and heels.

She stopped in her footsteps, turned her heel, and sighed with a smile. "Hi! Wade. I didn't want to disturb you and your friend."

"You're not disturbing anyone, Candy. Oliver, this is my girlfriend, Candy," Wade smirked.

"Really?" Oliver smiled, a bit intrigued.

"Many apologies, Oliver. I'm not his girlfriend," Candy corrected.

Wade added, "Yet, we have a date at seven, remember?"

"Oh, I remember, that's why I'm shopping for a pretty outfit." Candy furrowed her eyebrows with a smirk.

He laughed, and Oliver asked, "How did you get this beauty?"

"She needed a free coffee, and I needed a date because Maiko's blind date didn't work. The girl blew me off without giving me a chance," Wade replied.

"Do you mean Maiko Nakamura?" Candy asked. She thought, 'No way! Don't tell me Wade is the billionaire Wade! Maiko told me about?'

Wade's eyes widened. "Yeah! Wait a minute. You're the one I was supposed to meet?"

Candy frowned, "Sorry to burst your bubble, but I didn't blow you off. I overslept, and working as a diabetic doctor, trying to find a cure to save my patients is worth much more than this stupid date," a tear left her eye.

She was turning her heels about to cross the road when Wade pulled her back against his chest, embracing her.

"I'm sorry! Give me another chance, Candy. I like you. I like you a lot. I haven't been concentrating on anything since I met you because I spend most of my time thinking about you. You're a lucid dream that shows me my future with you."

Candy faced him, her heart touched by his sincerity. She witnessed the truth in his eyes, pleading desperately for her affection. "Okay, just one date, but if you..."

Wade kissed her lips, discontinuing her warning.

Oliver was feeling a bit of jealousy, rolling his eyes. "Ridiculously, you two are so in love with each other." His strong French accent stood out.

Suddenly, the ground began shaking.

"An earthquake?" Candy questioned and sensed danger coming.

"At this hour?" Wade thought aloud. 'It must be them?' He thought, not wanting to reveal his superhero identity because he didn't want to put Candy in harm's way.

"It's probably a coincidence. Let's get out of here!" Oliver said, refusing to alarm Candy. He pretended along with Wade.

However, Candy saw through their terrible act and muttered, "That's not a coincidence."

Four Sides appeared. Police sirens were heading to the Eiffel Tower. Ghost Tape, Moleglass, Homey Comb, and Dredge Head stood on the tower's balcony laughing.

"Four Sides!" Wade, Oliver, and the citizens screamed, running for their lives.

"Four Sides?" Candy asked thoughtfully. She remembered what Black Trumpet said last night. 'So they are the ones who framed Mushroom Boy. I need to ditch Wade and Oliver if I will fight them. It will give me an outlook on how all my powers work in battle.'

Wade warned. "We better run faster, they're going to destroy the city all over again!"

Oliver yelled, "Get in my car I'll drive you to the station."

Candy nodded, "Okay."

She and Wade followed Oliver hopping into his vehicle and driving off. Suddenly, the ground cracked open in front of them.

"Shit! What the heck!" Wade yelled.

"We're going to fall in!" Candy hollered.

"Not on my watch!" Oliver reversed back.

Candy opened her passenger door. "I'm getting out of here!"

"What are you doing? Close that door, Candy!" Wade yelled.

"Like heck, I will!" Candy shouted and jumped off, rolling on the ground in pain. "Shit! Why can't the ground be soft?" she winced.

"Candy!" Wade clamored.

He looked to Oliver. "We got to turn back and get her!"

"And get ourselves killed in the process, are you crazy?" Oliver said.

"Yeah, I am! My freaking girlfriend is out there!" Wade yelled.

Oliver rolled his eyes and chuckled, "Yeah, right? She didn't say yes."

"Shut it, Oliver!" Wade frowned and looked through the backseat window. "Please be safe, Candy. I'll save you soon," he muttered.

Candy got up. She dusted off herself, watching as the citizens ran past her. Cars were stuck in the cracks as the passengers and drivers tried to escape. The city crumbled like a boulder had dropped on it, the atmosphere changed into a dark fog. The streets were filled with dead and injured people and animals on the ground. Candy covered her nose their aroma was harmful. She ran to hide in the alley behind a dumpster when Moleglass rampaged the street spraying toxic mole gas that changed objects into giant moles.

"I need to stop them, but how?" she thought and transformed into her sugar form.

Looking around, she spotted shreds of glass from a broken beer bottle.

"Can I crystallize them?" She uttered to herself. "Let's try it."

Stretching forth her hand; spraying sugar dust on the broken glass, a chemical reaction materialized, creating an unusual, dense sledgehammer.

"Whoa, that's amazing. I can use this," Candy smirked. "Okay, let's make some booby-traps," she added and flew up to spread sugar dust to crystallize with air molecules which produce sugar hail stones held in camouflaged cotton candy clouds; across the city. Ghost-Tape senses the strange presence of supernatural beings.

"It seems Mushroom Head is closer than we think, guys, but there are three weird energies in the area too," he admitted.

"The question is will they join Four Sides or play the hero?" Dredge Head, the cyborg said.

"Most likely play hero," Homey Comb answered. "Let's lure out the rats!" and sent out his bees to investigate and bring their enemies to them.
