Cordelia felt as though she could reach out and touch the stars, her hand gently clasped by the Doctor's, guiding her through the boundless cosmos. Everything around her captivated the starry-eyed girl: the swirling galaxies, the twinkling stars, the distant meteors, and even the bustling cities nestled upon colossal spaceships. As they soared over the spaceship, Cordelia's fascination bubbled over.Seemingly attuned to her wonder, the Doctor gently lowered her to the floor and knelt down, his eyes alight with curiosity. "Now, that is intriguing," he mused aloud. "29th Century. Solar flares scorch the earth," he remarked, striding toward the console. "And the entire human race packs its bags," he continued, deftly manipulating the controls. "And moves out until the weather improves. Whole nations..."
"Doctor," Amy interjected, breaking his reverie. "Migrating to the stars."
"Doctor!" Cordelia's voice rang out, filled with concern for her friend. "Isn't that amazing?" she implored, rushing to Amy's side. The Doctor's gaze followed Cordelia's movement, finally noticing the predicament they were in.
Amy was clinging to the TARDIS for dear life, while Cordelia, despite her best efforts, couldn't provide much assistance.
Thankfully, they were soon rescued and ushered inside the safety of the box.
"This is the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland—every bit of it, assembled together and floating in the sky. Starship UK. It's Britain, but made of metal. But it's more than just a ship—it's an idea. It's an entire nation, thriving and exploring the cosmos for a new home," the Doctor explained, a hint of awe in his voice. Amy chuckled in response and squeezed Cordelia's hand.
"Can we explore outside?" Amy's curiosity shone through her question, her eyes eagerly scanning the length of the spaceship. "Of course, but first, there's a matter to attend to."
"A matter?" Cordelia's interest piqued, her golden eyes turning towards the Doctor. Sensing her gaze, the Doctor met her eyes and his smile slowly emerged.
"An important one. In fact, priority one—we are mere observers. That's the one principle I've always adhered to in my travels. I refrain from interfering in the affairs of other peoples or planets. Ah! That's intriguing," he exclaimed, stepping aside. Cordelia chuckled at his actions and hurried to catch up with him.
"So we're akin to wildlife documentarians, right? Because if they come across an injured cub or something, they can't just intervene—they must continue filming and allow it to perish. That must be difficult. I don't think I could do that. Don't you find it challenging—to remain detached and aloof?" Amy asked, addressing the empty space.
