It's the second to last week of January.

Soobin and Taehyun have neither hung out or even said a word to each other since the last time they were together at his house.

They just felt... scared.

Scared of being caught.

Scared of being persecuted and punished for being in a relationship together.

A love that was forbidden in the eyes of many.

All this time, that fear had only been a lingering feeling, an emotion that was kept under the surface, but now? The tidal waves were crashing on the beach called their love for each other.

Soobin hated it.

He was so sick of it.

This feeling of being so jumpy every time he did skinship with Taehyun, especially when they were out in public, that someone may see them.

Because he knew that it could happen if they were really careless. He wasn't exactly a top celebrity who had paparazzi or sasaengs chasing after him 24/7, but his face was well-known, and people would whisper if they saw him.

So he was worried every time, even if he didn't explicitly show it, he was.

It was another thing he hated, aside from the secrecy the two of them were going through, keeping their relationship hidden from his parents, the ones making their love so uneasy and difficult... to bear.

Today, Soobin was exhausted from school, especially because it was Monday. And of course, his teachers had to announce they have another bunch of tests coming up, the last ones before their finals in March.

He was about to exit the school grounds, alone as Jungkook went to his therapy and Hoseok had dance meetings, when at that moment, his phone buzzed. Soobin pulled it out of his pocket, to see... a text message from Taehyun.

Tyun: Hi Soobin, how are you?

A text message... even that felt so strange now.

He responded right back.

Tyun

School's been hard, but life is going on the line

Oh ok

What about you?

I'm fine
Busy with work and school

Ah

I miss hanging out with you though

At that moment, Soobin only had one question in mind.

He poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, hesitating and debating whether or not he should send the message... but in the end, the intrusive thoughts won.
