Chapter 13

The weekend flew by, and Soobin was surprised to find himself at his desk on Monday at 8:17 am. Mr Shun laid down his latest test in front of him, looking pretty satisfied for once.

"Good job Soobin. Keep it up."

Soobin glanced at his test.

"No way."

Jungkook and Hoseok turned around, curious to see what he was talking about.

"What is it?" Hoseok asked worriedly.

A wide bright smile crossed Soobin's happy face.

"I got an A!"

The two gasped.

"Really?! Good job!" Jungkook congratulated him.

"I'm so happy for you! My grade is kinda bad not gonna lie," Hoseok admitted.

Soobin laughed in response.

"Haha. I can't wait to show Taehyun!"

"Oh really?"

The two of them placed their chins on their palms, eyebrows raising.

"What's with that look?" Soobin asked.

"You and Taehyun seem to be getting pretty close recently," Jungkook smirked.

"Yeah? And so? That's what friends do, right?"

"Dunno. Jungkook and I were like that before too."

Ah. That's what they mean.

Soobin wasn't that dumb to not know they were thinking in that way.

"For the last time, I don't have a crush on him. He's my younger friend!"

Jungkook and Hoseok exchanged glances.

"Sure."

"I think otherwise," Hoseok said.

"ALL OF YOU: SHUT UP SO I CAN TEACH!"

For once, Soobin was glad that Mr Shun yelled.

"No way you got an A?!"

Soobin beamed brightly.

"Yes! I couldn't have done it without your studying tips!"

Taehyun giggled and hugged him tightly, with Soobin returning the hug.

"I'm so proud of you! Keep up the good work!"

Hearing him say that made Soobin's heart flutter.

It's great when you have someone who's praising you, right?

"I'm glad we have gym class today," Taehyun said, letting go of him. "I wish we had more classes together."

"Oh?"

Taehyun instantly blushed when he realized he said that kinda... swooningly.

"Y-Yeah! Cuz I think we juniors should interact more with the older grades!" he exclaimed.

"I believe so too," Soobin said.

Out of the corner of his eye, the ravenette saw Beomgyu approaching them.

"Hey Beomgyu," he greeted.

"Hey guys; ready for gym class?"

"Of course! I wonder what sport we're gonna play," Taehyun answered.

"Probably another American one. Watch it be football or basketball I dunno."

The trio arrived at the changing rooms and Soobin went to the seniors section to change. Hoseok and Jungkook were already there, putting on their gym clothes.
