The weekend went by faster than expected. Taehyun bid a goodbye to Beomgyu by the school entrance who had a dentist appointment and patiently waited for Soobin to come, as he seemed to have class just a tiny bit longer.

He kinda felt nervous. Today was going to be the first time Soobin will actually see the inside of his apartment. Taehyun doubted he'll think negatively of it, knowing how understanding Soobin was of them, but... it still made him feel uneasy.

Hopefully Yuna's condition won't be bad today.

The little girl had been having even more coughing fits these days; thank the lord that Lia was always nearby and made the effort to help her little sister despite her recovering injuries.

And the last time she had a seizure... thank God Ahyeon was there as Yuna dropped to the ground, and was able to shushingly comfort her as Yuna's body shook.

Not an image he wanted to recall to be honest.

But then his thoughts were interrupted by someone booping his nose playfully.

"Earth to Taehyun; are you there?"

He  looked up to see Soobin in front of him, armed with a second bag that he had packed to the brim with his and softly smiled at his boyfriend.

"Hi Soobin."

"Hey," Soobin wrapped his arm around Taehyun's shoulder. "Let's go, I'm sick of school."

"You're always sick of school Hyung."

"Whatever."

Taehyun pulled the keys out of his pocket and unlocked the main entrance door.

"Welcome to... my building," he said.

He really wished this box of concrete wasn't as battered or graffitied as it was; but it's no use wishing he could bring Soobin home to his old house, the blue one with a white roof and a lush large garden with a treehouse right next to Beomgyu's house.

"Thank you Tyun," Soobin smiled.

And that did reassure the boy.

The elevator ached up to the floor of the Kangs' apartment and let the two out. Taehyun took another key and inserted it into the knob, turning it.

"Mom, Yuna, Lia; I'm home!" he called as he entered the room, Soobin following closely behind him.

Ahyeon came out of the kitchen, and a wide smile crossed her face when she saw Taehyun and Soobin standing in the main entrance.

"Hello Taehyunie, hello Soobin!"

"Hello Mrs Kang," Soobin replied, bowing respectfully.

"You don't need to bow; you're like family here!"

Soobin smiled shyly.

"Thank you."

"Of course, I want you to feel comfortable after all."

Something very much appreciated indeed.

"Mom, where are Lia and Yuna?" Taehyun asked.

"Oh they're both taking a nap. But now that you're here, I can finally shop for tonight's meal!"

"Are you sure we have enough money for all your planned food?" Taehyun asked.

"Do you still doubt my wages Kang Taehyun?" Ahyeon fired back.
