Melissa was quite comfortable inside of Engie's pocket. Occasionally she would peek out and see where he was going.
"Are ya doin' alright in there?" He asked her.
"Yes." She replied.
"Good, we're almost there."
The Engineer then made his way to his workshop. In front of the doors was the Spy.
"Hey Spy," Engineer called. "Could ya do somethin' for me?"
"That will depend on whether or not I'll have to get my suit dirty." The Frenchman replied.
Then the stout Texan whispered something into his ear which caused Spy do a devious smirk.
"I'll see what I can do mon ami." Spy said.
Melissa and Engineer watched as he went off to prepare for an assignment. The two of them then entered the spacious workshop. In the center of the workshop was a machine that was all too familiar to Melissa. It was pointed at a rock that was the size of the Engineer's fist.
"You built a shrink ray?" Melissa asked.
Engineer nodded. "I was able to build a replica that I intend on testing on that rock there."
"I see." Melissa said.
The Engineer then set her down on a counter that was away from where the shrink ray was facing.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"Ready."
He pressed a button to activate it and almost immediately a beam of light hit the rock. Said rock started to shrink until it was the size of a grain of sand. Engineer turned off the shrink ray, picked up Melissa and showed her the shrunken rock.
"It works!" Melissa exclaimed.
"Yep." Engie said. "I plan on preforming a another test, but not while you're here."
Then there was a knock on the door.
