Emergency

Hospital. I need a hospital. Something isn't right I just know it. My heart won't stop racing, and I feel faint.

And of course I have just entered the smallest town I've even seen, everything is like on one street, this sucks. I looked around and the closest place I see that is open is 'Mystic Grill' must be a restaurant.

If I wasn't pregnant and not sick the walk would have taken 2 minutes tops, but this walk took me like 6 minutes. It was sad. I enter and I could hear soft music playing in the background. It was comforting and was soothing.

I walked up to the bar and looked around for someone that works here. Out from the back came blonde hair guy with beautiful blue eyes. Matt. At least that's what his name tag says.

"Excuse me, do you know where the nearest hospital is?" I ask trying not to sound like it's an emergency.

He looked me over - rude- as his eyes widen, he places the plates down on the bar and gently grabs my arm -also rude-. "Hey let's get you sitting down you look pale, I'll call an ambulance for you." He grabbed a chair from a near by table and placed in behind me.

He's acting like I'm about to pass out. I move you arm from his gentle grip and hold onto the counter. "I don't need to sit, and no ambulance... can't afford that kind of bill... I just need directions."

I could hear Matt sigh as he looked around. After that my vision started to go blurry making me wobble a little. I looked around hoping no one was watching what was happening until my eyes landed on a man with his hair slicked back and in a suit. Guess he's a business man.

He was walking over to me...great here we go making a scene...

"Ma'am you should sit down before you faint, that wouldn't be good for anyone involved." He spoke gently yet with authority.

I let out a laugh "Ma'am...that's funny. I'm 14 I'm not a Ma'am." I snap back at him.

My legs feel like they are growing weaker by the second. I grip onto the counter hard hoping I can stabilize myself. But that doesn't work, my legs fully give out. I wait for the impact of the ground but it never comes. My hearing is going in and out, all I want to do now is sleep. I'm so tired I haven't slept in like 3 days.

I finally feel the cold ground underneath me as I'm slowly layed down on it. Someone must have caught me and layed me down.

I feel my body start to relax and fall into sleep, but someone rudely starts tapping my cheek. I mean that's incredibly rude, I just want to sleep.

The tapping keeps going until I slowly open my eyes but everything is blurry, I can see at least 3 figures about me, one was Matt, another was suit guy, but then there was another blonde hair person, girl. Her hair was long and wavy. From my blurry state she was pretty.

I don't know how long I've been on the ground but 2 more people ran over and everyone but the suit guy moved out of the way. I could barely see what they were wearing but they were wearing the same thing.... Fuck. Their paramedics.

I start to come to more as my vision is clearing up and my hearing was coming back. The paramedics were getting out what seemed to be an IV.

Shit. Hell no. They are not sticking a needle in.

I'm 7 months clean and I'm not going back.

I reach over as the paramedics roll up my shirt sleeve. "No...don't..." I breath out as apparently speaking is difficult right now.

The paramedics look at me before down at my arm. They seen them I know they do. Their very visible. Thats why I stay in long sleeves.

"Ma'am you need an IV, your dehydrated and malnourished, you need it or you and your child might die. Do you want that?" The paramedic spoke strictly.

I shake me head as everything was becoming very overwhelming. I started to feel my face become wet from tears. I just want this nightmare over with.

The paramedic nods as he tries to find a vein. Damn it hurts.

I feel someone gently grab my other hand. "Squeeze my hand."

It was suit guy. I didn't think twice as my hand gripped his hand like my life depended on it. I finally felt relief as the needle stopped moving, so I let go of his hand.

I felt myself being lifted onto a stretcher before I was rolled off it the ambulance.
