After 3 long days in this damn hospital I'm finally getting discharged! I'm busy getting my old clothes on while Elijah is out filling paper work.I know Ariana is staying for a month maybe more but the anxiety I have right now is crazy, so crazy I'm standing over the sink trying not to throw up.
I didn't hear the knock or the door opening until I notice the light difference and looked in the mirror to see Elijah with a concerned look on his face.
I quickly wipe my tears away before putting on a fake smile and turning to him. "I'm ok, I promise just anxiety...I'll be fine." I quickly spat out before he could ask any questions.
He stares for a second before nodding, "the papers are all finished, we can leave now if you want, but we do need to leave soon. That dinner I had planned is tonight."
I nod as I slowly walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my bags. "I already said bye to Ari better get me out of here before I put up a fight." As I lifted my bags they were taken from my hands.
"You just had two surgeries, if you think I'm going to let you carry anything you'll be sadly mistaken." Elijah explained as he grabbed my 3 bags as if they weighed nothing.
I glared and sighed as I rolled my eyes as I left my room. "Fine by me just get me out of this terrible place."
I heard Elijah chuckle as we left the hospital. His car was already waiting at the curbside. He placed my bags in the backseat as he came around the car and handed me a stack of papers.
"Umm what's are these?" I looked at the stack and there was at least 30 pages of paper.
"Well these are from Sarah, they consist of something a first time mother would need to know, like sleep schedules, mind enrichment, and breastfeeding schedules."
And now I'm uncomfortable, don't ask me why but a grown man talking to me about breastfeeding in uncomfortable. "Can you not talk about that?" I asked quietly.
Elijah tilts his head slightly. "What? About breastfeeding?"
I nod my head as I look at the ground. "It just makes me uncomfortable talking about it to... to a man."
"It's a completely normal thing Amelia, you shouldn't be uncomfortable talking about the way you feed your child, but if it make you uncomfortable I won't call it that I will just refer to you feeding your child ok?" He said calming and gentle, trying not to make me more uncomfortable.
I nod "thanks, also who's coming to dinner again?" I set the papers down on the dashboard as I slowly try to get into the car.
Elijah is quick to help me up into the seat as he hands me the seat belt "my younger brother will be at the house and our guest are Damon and Stefan Salvatore. You are more then welcome to eat with us for the first half of the dinner but then is 4 will need some privacy as we will talk about personal matters. Sound good to you?"
I nod with a smile "sounds good, can we get there quickly I would like to take a nap before they come, I'm tired."
Elijah laughs as he gently shuts the door and walks around the car to the drivers seat and starts the car, "You will have time to take a nap I promise."
The car ride was quiet as I was trying my best to stay awake as my head was leaning against the window. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining I liked the quiet.
What I wasn't expecting when the car came to a stop and shut off was a literal mansion when my eyes opened up.
This is where I'm living now?!? I go from a homeless girl to a girl living in a mansion! Awesome!
Elijah got out of the car and came around to my door to help me out. It was super uncomfortable trying to get out. I wanted to do it by myself cause I can rely on someone else while I'm recovering.
I leaned against the car for support as I turned to the side and tried to slide off the seat down, but that didn't work.
I had to fully lean on to Elijah as he lowered me to the ground. I sighed out of relief when my feet touched the ground, "thanks." I tried to stand up straight but my stitches didn't allow me to do that, so I guess I'm a hunch back until further notice.
Elijah shut the back door and smiled at me with his arms full of bags, "ok let's go get you settled in dinner is in 3 hours." He started to walk to the front door with me slowly walking behind him.
Elijah opened the front door with ease, he stepped inside putting the bags down while he held to door open for me as I slowly stepped inside.
This place was incredible. The high ceilings, the huge curved staircase, the white and marble with golden accents. It was like a castle.
"There you are! Where have you... who the hell is she?!"
