Chapter 13: Forever Fall (V1 Ep13-14)

(No ones POV)

Nora: "How come Jaune gets home so late?" She asked, jumping on the bed.

Ren: "He's become rather scarce ever since he's been fraternizing with Cardin." He said adjusting his weapon, StormFlower? (Weird name, idk if it's right)

Nora: "That's weird, doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow?" She said, jumping high and falling onto her bed. "We need our rest!"

Pyrrha: "I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing." She said aggressively.

Nora: "Hmm...I guess so.." she said.

Jaune stood outside the door, wanting to open it but felt too guilty to.

Ruby: "Hey Jaune! Long time no see!" She said, getting his attention. "Did you lock yourself out again?" She asked.

Jaune: "Oh! Uh- nope, got it!" He said, revealing his key.

Ruby: "So! Where have you been lately?" She asked.

Jaune: "I uh...sigh I messed up I did something I shouldn't have and now Cardin has me on a leash and Pyrrha won't even talk to me and I think Y/n wants to kill me...I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea." He said, sliding down the door.

Ruby: "Nope!"

Jaune: "Nope?"

Ruby: "Nope! You're a leader Jaune, you're not allowed to be a failure."

Jaune: "But what if I'm a failure at being a leader?" He asked

Ruby: "Hmmm...Nope!" she walked over, sitting down next to him.

Jaune: "You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this kinda stuff." He chuckled.

Ruby: "Nope! Jaune, maybe you were failure as a kid, maybe even when we first met. But you can't be one now, wanna know why?" She asked, pretty much insulting him instead of encouraging him.

Jaune: "Uhh...because?"

Ruby: "Because it's not about you anymore, you got a team now Jaune! We both do, and if we fail we'll just bring them down with us. We gotta put our team first, and us second." She stood up, hands on her hips. "Have a goodnight Jaune.." she said, walking back inside her dorm room.

Jaune looked a bit better, having all those things out of his chest. He got up and went to open the door, only for his scroll to ring, it was a message from Cardin.

Cardin: "hey! It's your buddy Cardin, you're probably busy with that dust project buuuut ima need you to get me 2 bags of rapier wasps, make sure they got some reaaally big stingers."

Jaune sighed, walking away from his dorm to do what Cardin said.

TIMESKIP

Team TAGT, RWBY, and JNPR walked behind Mrs. Goodwitch, mesmerized by the sight they see of Forest go Forever fall.

Goodwitch: "Yes students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sigh-see, Professor Peaches asked you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die without doing so."

Y/n: "Gee, what's the point in training if you don't trust us to fight a few Grimm?" He said, rolling his eyes.

He noticed Jaune carrying something shaking, struggling to keep it steady causing him to bump into Cardin.

Goodwitch: "Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stand by your team!"
