(No ones pov)
What a wondrous day, the sun shining bright, the birds singing their music into the sky. The city of Vale quite chatty today, most likely due to how amazing the day is starting.
We open this chapter to the dust store, that was recently robbed of a bunch of dust and was used as an investigation. But the Old man was finally able to reopen the store, better than before.
As he put the sign up, he fell off his ladder, landing on his butt.
???: "Excuse me! Sorry." The strange emerald haired girl said. "I'm not really from around here" She said while offering the old man a hand, pulling him up.
She grabbed a piece of paper, showing it with a bunch of numbers on it.
???: "Would you mind pointing me to the direction of this shop?" She asked.
The old man nodded and pointed towards the end of the hall. As she walked down the street, a boy with gray hair leaned against the wall, looking at her with a smirk.
Silver: "I knew you were lost." He taunted.
Green: "Mercury, I will seriously pay you to shut up." She said, waving a wall at his face.
Mercury: "That is not your money." He pointed out.
Green: "But it could be yours for five minutes of silence." She hoped.
Mercury: "Mmm...no deal." He smirked.
Green: "Hmph. Fine." She said, grabbing the money from the wallet and stuffing it into her pocket.
Mercury: "Whatever. You want me." He said following her with a chuckle.
They walked together down towards their destination.
Mercury: "So how much farther?"
Green: "A few more blocks."
Mercury: "Ugh, this place is so dull." He whined.
Green: "Meh, I kinda like it. Tall buildings, diverse culture."
Mercury: "And nice dopey people to pickpocket." He smiled.
Green: "That's every city!" She said, stopping in her tracks putting a hand on her hip.
Mercury: "Oh Emerald, master thief. Please don't take my money! I barely have enough to get by!" He said in a medieval peasantry voice.
Emerald glared at him angrily before walking again.
Mercury: "You're no fun today." He scoffed with a pouty look.

Ding-a-ling!
Humming could be heard out back at the library, Emerald walking towards the front of the desk before ringing the bell.
Librarian: "Coming!" He said, pushing past the doors with stacks of books in his hands. "Welcome to Tukson's book trade, home to every book under the sun." He said, placing the stacks on the table.
Mercury: "Just browsing!" He said, slamming the books close.
Emerald: "Actually, I was wondering. Do you have any copies of the Thief and the Butcher?" She asked, leaning into the desk.
Librarian: "Yes we do." He nodded.
Emerald: "Great!"
A couple seconds of awkwardness goes by.
Librarian: "Would you like a copy?" He said.Emerald: "No, just wondering!"
Mercury slammed another book close, looking disinterested in the books.
