It was the next time and Akuma had a decent amount of sleep and woke up quite early, reading one of his books he bought the other day. He quite enjoyed the book, already loving the plot and the characters that were introduced in the first few chapters.

Finally finding the motivation to move, he stood up from his bed and went to the bathroom to do his business before walking out of his room. He walked out to see Y/N snoring on the couch. He couldn't help but giggle at the sight. The way Y/N was sleeping was hilarious to him! His mouth agape and his limbs everywhere on the couch, he could even see some drool coming out of his mouth.

After laughing for a while, he walked up to the adult and nudged him on the shoulder, jolting him awake. "Huh? Uh, huh?!" He mumbled, looking left and right. He then looked up at the boy with tired eyes. "You're up early.." he said, his voice hoarse. "Make me breakfast," Akuma demanded. Y/N chuckled as he slowly got up, "Alright, you little bossy kid," he joked. Akuma pouted at his nickname. He was not little! And he wasn't that bossy!

He continued to pout as he walked over to the island table and sat in one of the seats. He waited until Y/N took out a box of cereal and milk. "Sorry kid for the boring breakfast, it's Saturday so I have to get to work soon. You surprisingly woke me up just a few minutes before my alarm went off.." Y/N scratched his neck as he went to get himself a cup of coffee.

The boy looked at the box of cereal and saw it was Lucky Charms! He never had them before but heard they were the best type of cereal, according to the older kids at the orphanage. He dumped a lot of it into the bowl, seeing the cereal itself and little marshmallows that were in different types of shapes. He poured the milk into the bowl and started to eat the cereal. He really enjoyed the crunch that they had and also the sweetness from the marshmallows.

This might be his favorite cereal!

As Akuma ate, Y/N poured him a cup of water and placed it near him. After that, he went to his room and got changed for his shift at the nearby cafe. It was a simple outfit, a black blouse with black pants. He walked out with his messenger bag that had a few pins. "I got to go, don't let anyone inside and lock the door. I have the spare key so if someone pretends it's me, you'll know." Akuma nodded in response and heard Y/N open the door and walked out after locking it shut.

Now, Akuma is alone in the house with no one at home. The quiet apartment made him a bit lonely. Did he like Y/N's company? Surely not! He's just a random man who decided to adopt him after seeing him getting assaulted by a bunch of older kids. He couldn't help but sigh at the thought. Maybe he cared about him and didn't want him to be in a bad situation. Nevertheless, the adult helped him out of his poor situation and he was grateful for that.

He finished his breakfast and opened the fridge for something to snack on. There wasn't a lot of food in the fridge, it was rather empty. He thought of getting snacks himself.

Nodding to himself, he went back to his room to change into more cozy clothing and a coat on. He also grabbed a small bag he had from his father and used that to store a bit of his savings and his flip phone. The flip phone was a generous gift from one of the younger nuns. She couldn't afford a good phone but he was still grateful for it.

After making sure he got everything he needed, he grabbed the main key from the little clay tray and unlocked the door. He locked it from the outside and put it into his bag before heading out.

The street was bustling with people. Some were going somewhere, some were just walking around. Most looked tall compared to Akuma. Which could give him an advantage and a disadvantage when walking on the sidewalk. While he could stay hidden from adults' view, they also can't see him and could push him around without noticing him. But he didn't mind much, he just had to avoid bumping into them.
