"I think I found a worthy striker, one that truly compliments me."
-Itoshi Sae
Sae woke with a start, the remnants of the chaotic party still swirling in his mind. Groaning, he rubbed his temples, trying to shake off the haze of the night before. Glancing at the clock, he realized he had overslept, and panic surged through him as he remembered he had practice with Real Madrid.Hurriedly, he dressed in his training gear, slipping on his sneakers and grabbing his bag before rushing out the door of his penthouse. As he made his way to the training facility, Sae's mind raced with thoughts of the confrontation with June and the unsettling encounter with Leonardo Luna. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
Arriving at the stadium, Sae hurried to the locker room, nodding in greeting to his teammates as he passed. They exchanged knowing glances, but no one mentioned the previous night's events. Sae appreciated the unspoken understanding as he changed into his gear, trying to focus on the task at hand.
Stepping out onto the field, Sae felt a surge of adrenaline as he took in the familiar sights and sounds of the stadium. The smell of fake cut grass filled the air, and the sound of cleats striking the turf echoed around him. It was here, on this field, that he felt most alive.
But as Sae scanned the field, his heart sank at the sight of a new face among his teammates. A tall dark skinned , well built figure stood at the center of the field, effortlessly juggling the ball with a skill and finesse that left Sae feeling inadequate in comparison.
Confusion flickered across Sae's face as he approached the newcomer, his brow furrowed in curiosity. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
The stranger flashed a dazzling smile, his eyes twinkling with passion. "I'm Saumone," he replied, his foreign accent thick with an unfamiliar cadence. "And you must be Sae, the genius midfielder."
Sae's confusion deepened at the stranger's words. How did he know who he was? And why was he here, on their field, without any explanation? Why were his eyes, as well , so pretty?
Before Sae could press the issue further, Leonardo Luna appeared at his side, his expression unreadable. "Sae, I'd like you to meet our newest addition," he said, gesturing towards Saumone with a smug grin. "He'll be joining us as our new striker."
Sae's jaw dropped in disbelief as he struggled to process Leonardo's words. A new striker? Well replacing June would be nice, but they already had a perfectly good lineup. Why would they need someone new?
Leonardo's smile widened at Sae's reaction, his eyes glittering with satisfaction. "I know it's a bit unexpected, but I assure you, Saumone is a valuable addition to the team," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "I expect great things from him."
Sae's mind raced with questions, but he knew better than to challenge Leonardo Luna. With a resigned sigh, he turned his attention back to the field, trying to focus on the practice ahead. But as he watched Saumone effortlessly weave through the play dummy defenders , a sinking feeling settled in the pit of his stomach.
