"I don't want us to be like this. I deeply want to hate you but I can't. This is not how I want to remember you either, nii-chan."

In the midst of the night, Itoshi Rin found himself ensnared in the labyrinth of his subconscious, where dreams and reality intertwined in a tapestry of fragmented memories and twisted fantasies. As he drifted deeper into the recesses of his mind, he was engulfed in a surreal vision of the future.

The dream unfurled before him like a vivid tableau, painting a picture of a world yet to come. He stood amidst a landscape bathed in an eerie glow, the air thick with an otherworldly stillness. Before him stood a figure, a boy with very dark green hair streaked with white, his eyes shimmering with an otherworldly radiance.

Rin's gaze lingered on the boy, a sense of familiarity tugging at the edges of his consciousness. There was something about him that stirred a long-buried memory, a whisper of recognition that danced on the edge of his awareness.

As Rin watched, the scene shifted, morphing into a twisted reflection of reality. His brother, Sae, stood before him, his expression twisted with disdain as he glared at Rin with undisguised contempt.

"It's him," Sae's voice cut through the silence, his words laced with scorn. "He's the one you should aspire to be, Rin. Don't be a useless waste of space."

Rin felt a surge of anger and resentment welling up within him, a primal instinct urging him to lash out in defiance. But before he could respond, Sae's words echoed through the void, each syllable a dagger to Rin's heart.

"He's perfect," Sae continued, his voice dripping with derision. "Everything you're not. I wish you could be more like him, Rin. Maybe then you wouldn't be such an eyesore of a little brother."

Rin's chest tightened with a suffocating sense of despair, his mind reeling from the onslaught of Sae's cruel words. He felt as though he were drowning in a sea of self-loathing and inadequacy, the weight of Sae's scorn pressing down on him like a crushing weight.

Tears welled in Rin's eyes as he struggled to make sense of the twisted nightmare unfolding before him. He wanted to scream, to lash out in anger and frustration, but his voice was lost in the abyss of his own despair.

After a sudden jolt, Rin was ripped from the clutches of his torment, his consciousness snapping back to reality like a taut rubber band. Gasping for breath, he found himself bathed in the dim light of his room, the remnants of his dream still clinging.
