"be Japan's glory , Ito Mizu."
-Ego JinpachiArriving at the building, Ito entered with a sense of purpose, his steps echoing in the empty halls. As he made his way to the conference room, he noted with satisfaction that he appeared to be the first one there. With a shrug, he found himself a seat and settled in, prepared to wait for the others to arrive.
But before he could even take out his phone to pass the time, a voice called out his name, causing him to turn in surprise. Standing before him was a lanky, pale man with glasses perched precariously on his nose.
"Ito Mizu, I presume?" the man said, his tone cool and composed.
Ito raised an eyebrow, sizing up the newcomer with a hint of suspicion. "And you are?" he asked, his voice sharp.
The man bore his eyes hard , a glint of amusement dancing in them. "I am Ego Jinpachi," he replied, his voice carrying an air of authority. "I knew you'd be the first one here."
Ito's expression remained impassive, but inwardly, he couldn't help but be intrigued by the man's confidence. "And why is that?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
Ego's displayed a mischievous grin , revealing a flash of white teeth. "Because I have a keen eye for talent," he said simply. "The one that hungers the most for improvement runs to the kitchen first."
He couldn't help but wonder why he had been invited to join the program. "Why did you invite me here?" he asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.
Ego arched an eyebrow, turning the question back on Ito. "Why do you think I invited you here?" he countered, his gaze piercing and calculating.
Ito's looked foward and met Ego's gaze head-on. "Because I am the future of Japanese soccer?" he replied bluntly. "My existence is revolutionary, is that why?"
Ego's expression turned serious, his gaze piercing as he fixed his eyes on Ito. " You're right, I invited you to Blue Lock because I believe you have the potential to revolutionize Japanese soccer," he said, his voice carrying a note of conviction. "But potential alone is not enough. I need you to prove yourself . Prove that you are worthy of the title you claim."
Ito's lips remained still, a sense of calm arrogance creeping into his demeanor. "And how do you propose I do that?" he asked, his voice dripping with confidence.
Ego leaned forward, his gaze intense. "By being an obstacle," he said simply. "I need you to show the other boys what it means to be truly exceptional. You will to be the one they strive to surpass."
He was beaming on the inside , a sense of excitement coursing through him at the challenge laid before him. "Consider it done," he replied, his voice still.
Ego's eyes gleamed with satisfaction at the sight of his first diamond in the rough. "Excellent," he said, his smile devious.
"be Japan's glory , Ito Mizu."
