took my breath away

Porsche did not like that family at all.
He should not have agreed to meet his brother’s boyfriend under such circumstances, but Porchay had insisted, with his puppy eyes of his, and what would Porsche not give to his baby brother.

It was in fact Korn Theerapanyakun’s 66 birthday (yes, the fucking Theerapanyakun, previous mayor of Bangkok, owner of some of the biggest companies in Thailand). The party was held in one of their hotels, and Porsche had never felt that much out of place. He was wearing his most expensive clothes, a pair of Levi’s jeans, a white cotton t-shirt, and some converses; whereas the hundreds of people surrounding him were dressed as if this was a royal wedding.
Nevertheless, Porsche was confident in his shoes. Since the death of his parents, he had to earn his own money to provide for his baby brother. He proudly earned each cent and even managed to put his brother to college, so Porsche knew his worth, and was not easily impressed by ostentatious luxury.

That being said, seeing Porchay chatting and laughing with these pretentious assholes, as if he was part of them, gave him nausea. Porchay’s boyfriend, Kim Theerapanyakun, who also turned out to be his brother’s idol (like what the actual fuck?), seemed at least to be the nicest of them.

Porsche had arrived 20 minutes prior, a bit late because of his shift at Yok’s, and both Porchay and Kim had come outside to welcome him and do the presentations. Now they were sitting around a big rectangular table, with what seemed to be the rest of the Theerapanyakun family. Kim had introduced him when they arrived at the table, earning him a few nods and hellos, before they all got back to their own conversations.

Gosh, what was he doing here? He couldn’t even talk to his brother who was sitting at the middle of the table. Porchay had explained to him that because he had arrived a bit late, they would not be able to sit next to each other, but that the diner was soon over anyway. Porsche was not sure how to feel about that. One thing was sure, it was not how his mother taught him to welcome guests, but whatever.

Porsche was now sitting on the near end of the table, a plate of desserts, and a glass of champagne in front of him, with nothing to do, apart from listening to the conversation happening on his right. The two guys have been chatting about trying to get on a list to buy a bag or something, ignoring Porsche like the plague. They did not even give him a glance when he sat down.

“But Kinn will go to Paris next month, I’ll make sure he brings me a Hermes “, said the guy on the right across from him. He was pretty in his kind, white skin, red lips, soft features, but god did he stink.

As a beta, Porsche was rarely influenced by smells, but this one needed to chill with the perfume. Or wear some, he wasn’t sure.

He must have made a face, because the omega glared back. Oops.

“Where is he, by the way?” the guy on his right asked.

“He had a meeting, he should be there soon.”

“Oh, I’m glad. I was afraid you guys were fighting, since you’ve been struggling to give him a baby.”

Damn, Porsche thought, that was low, even if he didn’t have a preference in the cat fight these two have been playing since he arrived, he felt bad for the omega.

“Oh don’t you worry, dear, Kinn and I are actively working on it. What about you though? Did you finally find someone?”

Porsche lost interest in the conversation, staring into space in front of him. At some point, his eyes drifted to a man in suit walking confidently. He was tall, broad, and handsome.

Good for him.

Now that the guy was getting closer, he could notice his muscular arms and chest, milky white skin, black hair neatly pulled back, and powerful eyes… staring right back at him. Oh shit. Porsche immediately lowered his head to look at his plate.

“Kinn’s here!” someone said vigorously further in the table. Porsche looked up automatically, his vision filled with the guy he was staring at seconds ago, coming closer to the table.

Porsche could notice some agitation at the guy’s arrival, but he couldn’t focus. His senses were filled with his smell. A smell so strong it took his breath away, invading his whole being.

Oh my god, he thought.

He had never smelled something so…

Bad.

Rotten.

Disgusting.

And he had cleaned toilets in Bangkok’s dirtiest night club for years.

In fact, he imagined that was what death smelled like.

“God, you stink!”. The words had escaped him, overwhelmed by the sensation. He put a hand in front of his mouth, afraid he would puke on the spot. But as he looked up, he noticed the deafening silence. Everybody on the table was staring at him with shocked faces. Porchay looked horrified.

“What’s this guy's problem? “ The whiny omega from earlier asked. He was standing next to the stinking guy, an arm around his waist. That’s when Porsche noticed their marking bites.
Mates.

Kinn was furious.

The meeting had been a nightmare, all he had wanted was to go back home, drink a few glasses of his favorite whisky, and pass out on his bed.

Unfortunately for him, he had to attend his father’s birthday. If he was happy to see his brothers, playing the happy couple with Tawan in front of his family was tiring. And Kinn didn’t want to fight again.

It had been three years since they dated, two since they mated, and things were getting worse and worse. Their inability to make a baby was taking a toll on their relationship, to the point where Tawan had stopped sleeping in his room, claiming he needed a peaceful environment to be fertile during his heats.

Heats that had become rarer and rarer.

So Kinn was pissed and frustrated.
But the guy, who was definitely checking him out seconds ago, had the audacity to insult him in his own hotel, in front of his family? When he was wearing his most expensive Guerlain perfume?

Oh, he had found a way to lash out.
