Chapter 18

Author's POV

"Boboiboy, can you hear me? Boboiboy!" Fang shook Boboiboy's body which was lying on the ground.

"Boboiboy, that's your name, isn't it?" Baraka laughed as he snatched the little boy out of Aaliyah's arms.

"No don't hurt him" she cried and tried to take him back only to get pushed and hit her back against the wall.

"Please, don't hurt my child" she got on her knees and begged.
"How pitiful" Baraka tsked and held her hair forcefully making her yelp.

"How about I end your misery right now" Before Baraka could do anything he felt a strong push which made him fall.

Little Oboi cried as he got hurt too.

"Don't you dare touch them" Amato warned.

"Boboiboy!" Aaliyah shouted and went to pick him. As she was about to grab his hand Baraka held her hands instead.

"Not too soon" Baraka strangled her neck and lifted her body up. She tried to kick him away but it was of no use.

"Leave her! Mechabot Mechanize!"
Amato used a water bottle to turn it into a bazuka.

"Water splash!" The splash made Baraka let go of her.
"You wanna play huh? Repel waves!"
Baraka used his power which made Amato stick to the wall. He tried to move but he couldn't.

"You angered me alot Amato. Now, you shall watch your wife die in front of your own eyes" Baraka laughed.

"No, Baraka! NO!!!" Amato shouted trying to move but couldn't.

"Mama!" Boboiboy shouted and tried to move but he noticed that his legs has been frozen.
"Come on, why can't I move!" He tried to move his legs and body but it failed.

Baraka laughed hysterically.
"Annihilation waves!" Baraka used his most dangerous power. As soon as the waves hit Aaliyah, her body froze and blood oozed out from her mouth.

"Aaliyah!"
"Mama!"

Her body fell on the ground as her eyes slowly started to close.
"Mama!" Little Oboi couldn't help but cry to see his mama in that state.

"Now it's your turn, Amato!" Baraka stood infront of him.

"No!" Boboiboy cried and tried his best to move but suddenly he saw some vines being wrapped around his legs. He tried to remove it but the grip was too strong.

"It's time to end yo-" before he could complete his sentence a strong slash made him hit the wall.

"Pian" Amato hopefully looked at his friend who just saved him.
"Run away Amato, I'll handle him" Pian or more like Maskmana.

"Silver Slah!" He used his sword which made Baraka fall out from the window.

Amato quickly ran towards Aaliyah and crouched down.

"Aaliyah, open your eyes. I am taking you to the hospital" Amato said and carried her in a bridal style.

"Dear, I don't think I will survive. Don't think about me right now... Just take Boboiboy to a safer place and protect him at all cost." Aaliyah said while heavily breathing.

"Nothing will happen to you" Amato cried.

"Put me down dear, let me talk to my Oboi for the last time." Amato wanted to refuse but he did what she said.

"My little Oboi, don't cry. Mama is going to a better place now. Take good care of your papa for me okay? You are a big boy now so don't cry" She said while wiping the tears off his eyes.

"Please don't leave me mama" he cried and hugged her neck.
"Who said I am leaving you. I will always be with you Oboi, right here" She said while pointing at his heart.

"Mama loves you, Boboiboy" she lightly pecked his cheek.
She suddenly coughed up blood which made Amato quickly get up.

"No, I don't have enough time left. Just promise me you'll protect Boboiboy and take care of yourself. I love you" She lightly caressed his cheek which was wet by his tears.

And that's when she felt it. The soul leaving her body. Aaliyah died in her lover's arm.

Amato cried, his heart felt heavy. Heavy with the weight of guilty of not being able to protect his family, his wife.

He looked at the lifeless body in his arms. He softly caressed her cheeks and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Sleep well, love"

"Amato, he ran away" Pian entered the room. And he was shocked to see the scene in front of him.
He slowly took out his mask and looked down in guilt. How he wished he could go back in time and reach here at the right time then maybe he could've been able to stop all this from happening.

"Mama..." A single tear dropped from Boboiboy's eye as he just witnessed his mother die. His eyes gave up. He closed his eyes not wanting to see anything but suddenly those vines grew more and made him forcefully open his eyes.

Boboiboy noticed he was now in a different location.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Pian asked Amato which made Boboiboy confuse.

"Yea, I promised Aaliyah that I'll protect Boboiboy no matter what. So I have to do this" Amato replied.

"Are you really sure? It might have some consequences" Pian asked.

"Don't worry, I have already talked with dad. I will send Boboiboy to live with him in Pulau Rintis." Amato replied.

"Ok then, here" Pian handed Amato a thing which looked like a powersphere.

"Are you sure this will work?" Amato asked.
"Yes, it is memory bot. It helps in losing and regaining memories. It will  erase most of Boboiboy's memories" Pian replies.

"Nice, he is just a kid.. I want him to forget what he saw. He will be forever traumatized by it" Amato sighed.

"But.. Boboiboy will also forget about me and few of his friends" Pian mentioned.
"I don't want him to forget Y/N. She will be really upset" Pian added.

"I am sorry Pian but right now I just want to erase his memory" Amato replied.
"I understand" Pian mumbled.

Amato took the memorybot and held him near the boy who was finally asleep after crying for 3 hours straight.

"Memorybot, erase his memory" Amato commanded.
"Omit Memorial" Memorybot shouted and had erased most of his memories.

Amato crouched down and softly rubbed Boboiboy's hair with a small apologetic smile on. He leaned in and softly kissed his forehead.

"Forgive me, Oboi"
