Chapter 8

Y/N's POV

"And if you look at the surface of the Earth you'll find.."

'Geography is the most boring subject to ever exist'

I yawned and decided to take a little nap. But after a few minutes I was woken up by Ray poking my shoulder.
I got up and rubbed my eyes.

"Yea?" I asked.
"It's lunch, dummy. Let's go get something to eat" He replied and I just went to the canteen with him.

"What would you like to eat?" I asked.
"Chicken fried rice and you?" He asked.
"Same. It's on me" I replied and handed the money to the lunch lady.

"Wait no" he refused but I already paid.
"It's fine. You can treat me some other day too" I replied and went to sit next to Ying.

"Hi guys!" I greeted them and they all greeted me back.

"You are awake huh? You looked so tired so I thought to just let you sleep" Boboiboy explained.

"Yea, I couldn't sleep last night" I mentioned.
"Why so?" Yaya asked.
"Stupid nightmares" I replied casually.

"What kind of nightmares?" Fang asked.
"It's always the same dream, an unknown figure breaking into my house and me hiding in a closet but as soon as he gets near me I just jolt up from my dreams." I explained.

"Sounds scary" Ray replied.

"How long have you been getting this dream?" Ying asked.
"Like since I was 10 years old. It wasn't used to be that bad but now since I live and sleep alone it has gotten pretty worse" I replied and started drinking water.

"Well I can sleep with you if you want" Boboiboy replied which made me spit out the water and cough.

"Dey Boboiboy, atleast think before you speak" Gopal lightly smacked his best friend's head.

"Heh sorry" He sheepishly smiled.
"What I meant was I can live with you for a few days to help you since you already live alone" Boboiboy explained.

"Thanks for the kind offer but I'll have to refuse. I think both of us will find it uncomfortable" I replied.

"How about staying with Maya?" Yaya suggested.
"That's good, we can have a girls sleepover at your house" Ying squealed.

"Hey, I wanna join to" Boboiboy whined.
"Sheesh, it's for the girls only" Ying scolded.

"Dey, Go away. Boboiboy, we will have our own boys sleepover, right Fang?" Gopal asked.
"Don't include me with you knuckleheads" Fang replied.
"Seesh, you're no fun" Gopal rolled his eyes.

"Relax guys, maybe someday we'll have a sleepover together but for now it's just the girls" I stated which made the boys happy.

"Anyways, did you guys get any lead?" I asked.
"Police did install CCTVs but they didn't inform anything" Boboiboy replied.

"I hope we do get some information before anything happens" Yaya wished.

"Hey guys, look at this" Ray said and showed his phone which was playing the current news.

'A fire just mysteriously broke out in burger palace'

"We have to go there quick!" Boboiboy said and we all stood up including Ray.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked him.
"With you guys" He replied.
"No it can be dangerous for you" I mentioned.

"You don't have any powers either" He fought.
"Atleast I have a brain" I fought back.
"Are you calling me brainless?" He gasped.
"Exactly, now just stay here stupid" I said and we all quickly ran out of cafeteria.

"Help!" A girl was shouting as she was stucked under a table.

"Boboiboy Air" He used his water element to reduce the fire and helped the girl out.

(Why is water called air in Malay I remember how I got so confused once)

"It's the second time a fire broke out. Could this be Boboiboy api is awake and trying to whole town on fire?" The reporter said to the camera.

"What is wrong with you? I didn't cause any fire. I just came here and saved everyone" Boboiboy fought.

"Let it be Boboiboy" I pulled him away.

"As you saw, Boboiboy said he is not behind all these so who can i-" Before the reporter could complete his sentence he slipped and fell on his butt which made us burst into laughter.

Feeling embarrassed, they ran out of there.
But then again my eyes caught something.

"Hey Boboiboy look, that same liquid again" I pointed towards the liquid and they all looked at it.

"Guys, spread in different locations. There might be chances of that alien still being here. We must find him" Boboiboy mentioned and they all did as they were told.

I was going to look too but he suddenly held my hand.

"Stay with me Y/N. I can't risk you going alone like that. I'll protect you" Boboiboy said and I swear to god I could feel my heart race.

He intertwined his hand with mine and I could see the blush on his cheeks.

We both went to the other direction to look for the alien but unfortunately we couldn't find anything.

Suddenly, the group contacted Boboiboy.

"We couldn't find anything here" Yaya informed.
"We neither" Boboiboy replied.

"Dey, are you guys holding hands?" Gopal pointed out which made both of us quickly leave each other's hand.
"Nah, nothing like that" Boboiboy replied.

"Meet me at my house guys we will discuss it there. Ying can you please bring everyone's bag back?" Boboiboy requested to which she surprisingly agreed.

"Shall we?" He asked making me chuckle.
"We shall" I replied and we both went to his house.

Boboiboy and I were alone in the house. Tok and Ochobot were at Kokotiam and everyone else still hadn't return.

The atmosphere was filled with thick silence with none of us uttering a single sound.

"Umm" For the first time Boboiboy tried to break the silence between us.
"I just realised we never exchanged numbers so would you like to?" He asked nervously.
"Sure" we both gave each other our phones and saved our numbers.

'cute' I thought to myself while looking at his name.

Y/N ✿

"Would you be annoyed if I called you almost everyday?" He asked making me chuckle.
"No, I am lonely most of the time so I would be honestly glad." I replied.

"If you ever find it hard to fall asleep just call me and I'll talk to you all night" He mentioned. I was genuinely moved by this.
"Would you be ok to sacrifice your sleep for me?" I asked.

"I would do anything for you, Y/N."
