A brand new memory started up the moment the point they needed was found, making the group see a slightly older Naruto who appeared to be at least 6 years old, was standing at a cliff next to Obito. Everyone could see that there were jagged rocks at the bottom of the cliff, which made them all wonder what they were doing here.
"Okay, ready for your next part of training?" Obito asked as he looked at the blonde who nodded.
"Yeah." He said with a small smile. "But why are we here?"
"So, one of the things to being a shinobi, is thinking quick on your feet. If you're pushed into a corner and can't figure a way out, you make your own way out or you fight your way out. Enemies don't care if you beg or plead with them, they will kill you without any hesitation." The raven said, the blonde nodded the man knelt down behind him.
"But what does that have to do with us being here?" Naruto asked as he looked behind him.
"Your test..." Obito began as he set his hands on the blonde's shoulders. "...is to get yourself out of a sticky situation."
"Okay, how do I do that?"
"Find your way out of this situation." He said with a slight smirk before everyone watched him push the young boy off of the edge of the cliff.
"WHAT THE HELL!!? IS HE CRAZY!!?" Everyone shouted in shock as they watched what he did.
"Dammit!!" Naruto shouted as he was falling down towards the ground.
They all watched the blonde change his position and look up at the raven who was looking down at him as he fell to what would be his death, pulling out a kunai from his pocket and slamming it into the cliff side. They watched as Naruto slid down the side of the cliff, his kunai snapping in half which made him fall freely again. Naruto immediately pulled out two more kunai and did the exact same thing, only this time using his feet to help him. The group watched as Naruto slammed the kunai deep into the side of the cliff this time, body lurching at the sensation.
"Whoa!" Himawari said, shocked at what her father displayed.
Once the blonde slowed himself down significantly, they all saw him move his one kunai into his other hand and hold onto both with one hand. He managed to stop on a small ledge that was barely big enough to stand on, but he managed. The blonde panted with a happy smile as he shifted to stand more proper, before the raven appeared next to him, standing on the side of the cliff.
"Impressive."
"You could have given me some warning."
"Sometimes you don't get a warning." The raven said with a shrug.
If the two spending time together wasn't hard enough for the future shinobi to handle, the adults more than the teens, because they actually fought against this man, the blush that dusted Obito's scarred pale skin was definitely bound to make people angry. Sasuke balled his fist in anger at the sight of his rival being so close with Obito, even if the bastard turned and helped them in the end. Sakura couldn't believe that Naruto was so comfortable around Obito, as if the blonde being an idiot wasn't obvious to her enough. Hinata tried to swallow the anger that she had building inside of her the more she watched her husband spend time with this man. The three knew there had to be a point where the two went their separate ways, because they were clearly strangers by the time things started going down.
"Can we spar?" He asked, making the man chuckle.
"What makes you think that you're ready to spar against me?" He asked with a smirk, looking at the blonde.
