"ELEVEN."

"Mike," El gasped, walking up to Mike and strongly embracing eachother. Thick tears pondered down both faces, dropping onto the others shoulders like drizzling rain.

"Is that...?" Max feebly asked. The others just gently nodded in response.

Finally, Mike broke the hug, looking down at the girl. "I never gave up on you. I called you every night. Every night for-."

"353 days," Eleven finished, beaming brightly at him. "I heard." Mikes's face slightly sunk.

"Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?"

Before El could respond, Hopper stepped in. "Because I wouldn't let her." All eyes were on the Chief now as he walked towards the girl, Mike moving out of the way. "The hell is this? Where you been?" he asked El, gesturing to her all black outfit and dark eye makeup.

"Where have you been?" El bitterly asked him. Instead of arguing back, the Chief grabbed her by the shoulder, pulling her into a firm hug.

Mike was still stood behind the two, his face full of rage. "You've been hiding her? You've been hiding her this whole time?" He violently shoved the man from behind.

"Hey! Hey!" Hopper grabbed him by the collar. "Let's talk," he spat. "Alone." The two stormed into another room, leaving everyone staring at El.

Without hesitation and despite the awkward silence, Willow ran towards her friend, smacking her into a long overdue hug. Eleven chuckled highly, wrapping her arms around the girl. A few bushy tears slipped down the Harrington's girls face, shutting her eyes firmly and holding the girl as much as possible.

After feeling like they had been holding eachother for long enough now, they broke apart, grinning uncontrollably at one another. "Eating Eggo's hasn't been the same without you," Willow told the girl with a sniff and a chuckle. Eleven wiped away her own tears, letting out a cracked laugh too.

It was Dustin and Lucas' turn to reunite with their friend after Willow had walked back beside Max and Scott. El used an arm on both side to hold the two. After a few words between the three, Max came into view. "Eleven? Hey, um. I'm Max," Max introduced herself gently, holding out a hand."I've heard a lot about you." Eleven didn't acknowledge the hand, shoving straight past the ginger girl and into Joyce's arms.

The woman led her into the room where Will was held. The others quickly followed behind. "Do you think you could close it?" That was all Willow had heard Joyce ask the girl when she entered the room. Was El going to close the gate?

                                       ——

Hopper sighed as everyone re-entered the living room. "It's not like it was before. It's grown. A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs."
