(episode six ; the monster)
FORTUNATELY, LUCAS WAS ALVE. He had stormed off after that little 'incident' at the junkyard, the others following behind. When Willow got home, her brother annoyingly wasn't home. And even more annoyingly, her parents were. She could see in the corner of her eye the back of her Father's head, the TV light filling the room. Her Mother was in the kitchen, probably preparing the family's dinner for the evening.
She was halfway up the stairs when she felt a prescence from down below.
"Where were you."
Willow turned on the stairs to see her Father with weary, cold eyes and messy hair. She swallowed.
"I told Steve I was going out," the afraid girl told him silently. He watched her intensely for a moment."Useless, that boy is," he told himself, shaking his head. Willow didn't appreciate how her Father talked about her brother. Afterall, Steve had been the one to look after her all these years. He was more of a Father than her own ever was.
"He's not useless," she confidently defended her brother, sounding quite quiet and loud at the same time. He snapped out of his thoughts, sharply turning his head towards his daughter.
"Did you just answer me back?"
The girl let a large sigh slip from her quivering lips as she regretted her words. "No...sir," she quickly added on the 'sir'.
He started slowly creeping up the stairs towards her. The man stood there for a moment, just soullesly looking down on his daughter. She looked down at the floor, not wanting to smell the alcohol that came with his breath on her face.
"Look at me," he fiercely grabbed her chin, tilting her head upwards. Her breathing started to increase uncontrollably.
"Have some respect for your Father you little shit," he lightly smacked her chin away from his hand, walking off and lazily plopping himself back onto the sofa. The trembling girl blinked back more tears, playing with her hair whilst she walked up the stairs.

The next morning, the siblings mainly just watched TV for a while, until a ring of the doorbell disrupted them. The two groaned. "I guess I'll get it then," Willow rolled her eyes when she saw her brother wasn't going to get it. The doorbell rung a few more times impatiently before she got there. "Jeez, hold on a second."
She swung the door open, seeing Mike and Dustin. She crossed her arms. "What do you want?"
"We need to find El."
"Why? I don't think she likes you guys," Willow frowned.
They both rolled their eyes at the girl. "Who cares, she could be in trouble, or we could be in trouble."
