The crowd erupted into cheers as the ball soared over the boundary, signaling victory for the Gujarat Titans in their match against the Punjab Kings. Shubman Gill, the captain of the Titans, raised his bat in triumph, his teammates rushing to embrace him in celebration.

"That was an incredible match!" Shahneel exclaimed, her eyes shining with pride as she watched Shubman and his team revel in their hard-earned victory. "Dev, you truely are the lucky charm."

Dev beamed at Shahneel's words, "Its all their hard work," she replied. With the match over, they made their way to the car, joined by Shubman and their parents.

Shubman went near the driver's seat when dev held his hand'p, "Aap thak gye honge, I'll drive." He sighed and gave her the keys. He went and sat in the passanger seat while Shahneel and their parents sat in the back.

The drive to their new home was filled with anticipation and excitement, the air buzzing with the energy of their shared victory. As they pulled up to the sprawling estate, Shubman's mother, Kerat, turned to Devanshi with a warm smile.

"It's quite late now, beta, so," Kerat said, her voice gentle and reassuring. "I'll give you a tour of the house tomorrow. Abhi thak gaye hoge."

Dev nodded in understanding, her heart fluttering with excitement at the prospect of exploring their new home. "Ha mummy, theek hai" she replied.

As they entered the house, Devanshi's eyes widened in awe at the grandeur of their surroundings. The foyer was adorned with elegant chandeliers and intricate marble flooring, casting a soft glow over the space.

"It's beautiful," Devanshi breathed, her voice filled with wonder as she took in the luxurious surroundings.

"Abhi ye wall pe ek painting aaygi, from floor to ceiling. Shub wanted it since he visited the art museum in london" Shahneel explained excitedly.

"Nahi, ab vo plan cancel ho gaya." Shubman cut her off.

Dev looked at him in confusion and asked, "kyu?"

"Chod na. Change kar fir khana khate hai." Shahneel glared at him while dev shrugged it off.

They settled into the dinning room, Devanshi made some khichadi kadi, while kerat arranged the plates.

As they sat together, Dev served them the food however they liked, "beta hum le lenge. Tu baith ja." Shubman's father said.

She nodded and sat next to Shubman after serving herself. Shahneel looked at her bhabhi and said. "Our flight is in the morning, day after tomorrow. Till then Maa and I will take Dev shopping and get her some clothes for here. Shub, you need to clean up some space for her."

"Teen cupboard dev ke hai. Bas jo extra wala saamaan pada hai vo store main rakhwa denge." Shubman looked at his mother, "Agar shopp8ng pe jaa rahe ho to gifts le bhi samples dekh lena jo dene ke rahenge."

"Tu bhi chal le sath mai." Kerat suggested.

".Nahi, mummy kal practice rahegi pure din." He shook his head. Kerat glared at him, and he instantly remembered the talk they had about Devanshi coming over. "Kal shaam mai drive pe chale jaenge." Dev was shocked at what he just said. She didn't expect him to take her out himself.

"Dev, Chat pe chalo." Shahneel said while she and Devanshi cleaned up the dishes,

Shahneel led Devanshi and Shubman to a cozy corner where chairs had been arranged under the twinkling stars. The night air was cool and crisp, a welcome relief from the warmth of the day.

"We always come up here whenever Jugnu, or any of our friends come. Aur kabhi aese hi baate karne aa jate hai." Shahneel said with a warm smile as she gestured for them to take a seat. "It feels great up here."

Shubman nodded in agreement as he took a seat beside Devanshi, his eyes scanning the night sky with wonder. "It's nice to be able to relax after a long day," he remarked, his voice tinged with contentment.

Shahneel grinned at her brother's words as she settled into her own chair, a bottle of liquor and some snacks nestled between them. "And niw Dev and I can gossip here," she said mischievously, a twinkle in her eye. "What do you say?"

Devanshi's eyes lit up with excitement at the prospect of spending time with Shubman's family, her heart filled with gratitude for their warm welcome. "Bilkul, I'm all for it!" she exclaimed eagerly, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "Tumhare bhai ko to interest nahi in sab cheezo mai"

With a laugh, Shahneel poured herself each a glass of whiskey. "Dev what will you take?"

"I don't feel like drinking now but do you have some coke up here?" Shahneel nodded and opened a can of coke for her.

As they sipped their drinks, the conversation flowed freely, filled with laughter and lighthearted banter. They talked about everything from their favorite childhood memories to their hopes and dreams for the future, their words dancing on the breeze like musical notes in the night.

"Dev, nowadays Maa doesn't give me gossip. And she's on a call with you everytime she hears something big. Or wants to diss someone." Shahneel teased, her eyes sparkling with mirth as she recounted the memory. "I feel soo replaced!"

Devanshi laughed, her heart swelling with affection for Shahneel . "Ayy, Koi baat nahi. Mai bataungi tujhe goss sari," she remarked.

"Dev, I love you. You're my only constant now." Shahneel got up and hugged her. "Anyways, you guys chill. Mai sone ja rahi hu."

"Bye!" Shahneel's departure left Shubman and Devanshi alone on the terrace, the weight of their unspoken conversation hanging heavy in the air.

Devanshi took a deep breath, summoning the courage to broach the subject that had been weighing on her mind for far too long. "Shubman," she began, her voice steady despite the turmoil churning within her, "we need to talk."

Shubman's gaze remained fixed on the horizon, his expression unreadable in the dim light. He took a long drag from his vape, the smoke swirling around him like a veil of uncertainty.

"Bas na, Shubman. Keep that away now." Devanshi felt a surge of frustration, the hurt evident in her voice. "It's about the way you've been treating me lately. The distrust, the accusations... It's not healthy for either of us."

Shubman sighed, the weight of Devanshi's words settling heavily upon his shoulders. Devanshi reached out, her hand hovering over Shubman's as she searched for the right words to convey her feelings.

She said softly, her voice filled with tenderness. "if this behavior continues after we're married, neither of us will be happy. We need to address it now, before it's too late."

Shubman closed his eyes, a conflicted expression crossing his features. He took another drag from his vape, the fruity smell hit dev's senses as he exhaled slowly.

Devanshi's heart ached at his words, the love she felt for him warring with the pain of their fractured relationship. "Please, Talk to me. I can't handle it anymore."

Shubman's silence hung heavy in the air, his gaze fixed on the ground as he wrestled with his inner demons. Devanshi felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her, the weight of their conversation draining her of her resolve.

"It's late," Shubman finally said, breaking the silence that had enveloped them. "We should sleep."

Devanshi nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of their unresolved issues. She watched as Shubman stood and made his way downstairs to their room, the distance between them feeling wider than ever before.

Alone on the terrace, Devanshi let out a shaky breath, the tears she had been holding back finally spilling over. She wiped them away, her heart heavy with the uncertainty of their future.

When she finally made her way back to their room, she found Shubman already asleep, his form curled up beneath the blankets.

She crawled into bed beside him, the space between them feeling cavernous despite their proximity. She closed her eyes, the weight of their unresolved issues weighing heavily on her mind as she drifted off into an uneasy sleep.
