The sun had newly risen when Dev stirred from her sleep, the excitement of the day ahead already coursing through her veins. She glanced at her phone to see a flurry of messages and notifications, Today was the Mehendi ceremony.

She took a refreshing shower and got ready in the traditional mehandi green outfit. Rest of the guests were going to wear pink which complimented the bride and monochromed with the theme of the event. She took time to do a simple nude makeup and wear her jewelries.

As she came out of the room, she found Anaya, Shahneel, Gauravi, Kritika, Diya masi, Poornima chachi, and, mummy (Kerat), already gathered in the suite's living room, chatting animatedly.

"Good morning, everyone," Devanshi greeted, her voice tinged with anticipation.

"Morning, Dev," Anaya replied, giving her sister a quick hug.

Kerat came by her side and asked Shahneel to bring some kajal from Dev's room. "Kinni soni lagdi meri bacchi."

Shahneel quickly brought the kohl and kerat applied a little bit behind the bride's ear, "Now dev is completely ready!"

"Absolutely," Devanshi said, smiling. "Let's go."

The mehendi artists had arrived in the decorated hall and soon the intricate designs began to take shape on Devanshi's hands. The room buzzed with laughter and conversation as each woman took turns getting their mehendi done.

An hour later, guests began to arrive, filling the room with even more excitement. Dev's hands were halfway done and another artsit came by her feet. Ladies lined up to get their henna done, while the men took seat in another hall adjoint enjoying a hearty breakfast and live music.

In one corner, Anaya, Gauravi, Kritika, Shahneel, and Simrat were busy rehearsing a dance they had prepared for the occasion.

"Dev Bhabhi, you should join us for the dance!" Simrat called out.

"But meri mehandi bachi hai simmi. I'll come up when my feet are dried," Devanshi replied.

The music started and the girls performed with infectious energy, their movements synchronized and graceful. Devanshi cheered for them, her laughter ringing out as she saw her friends and family dance on her special occasion.

Meanwhile, Shubman, who had been watching from the sidelines, was approached by his friends.

"Shubman, it's your turn now," Subeer teased, pointing to the mehendi artist waiting for him next to Devanshi.

"Mujhe ye sab nahi pasand, yaar. " Shubman groaned, though a smile tugged at his lips.

"Kya nahi pasand, mai yaha do ghante se baith ke apne hath bhara rahi hu. Aap thoda sa nahi banwa sakte."

"Are! Shagun ka to karna padega!" Shahneel insisted, dragging him over. "Dev ka naam hi likhwale."

Reluctantly, Shubman sat down and allowed the artist to write 'Dev' on his palm with a small heart beside it. The room erupted in cheers and laughter.
