The soft hues of the morning sun filtered through the windows of Devanshi's grand suite, casting a gentle glow over the gathering of women who had assembled in the ornate ceremonial room. Dev, adorned in a graceful pink kurta suit, sat amidst them, her eyes reflecting excitement.

Kerat, stood at the forefront of the room, her hands cradling a bundle wrapped in velvet red cloth. With a smile that radiated warmth, she approached Devanshi.

"Dev," she began, her voice carrying the weight of generations past and the promise of futures yet to unfold, "We are going to start with the ceremony. Before we take these chooda out, close your eyes. Shahneel put your hands on her eyes so she doesn't see the chooda. It's inauspicious. " she joked

Devanshi's chuckled swelled as she listened to the playful words of her mother in-law.

Shahneel stepped forward and teased her sister in-law , "No peeking, Bhabhi." She gently pecked her cheek while closing her eyes with her palm.

A ripple of laughter danced through the room as Kerat gently unwrapped the ivory-gold chooda. As she slid the first bangle onto Devanshi's wrist, a hush fell over the room, broken only by the soft murmurs of prayers whispered into the ether.

"Khush reh, Meri bacchi," she intoned,"bejhijhak koi bhi pareshani ho bata dena hume. Bas tu khush rehna."

Devanshi held her hand in reverence, her heart overflowing with emotion as she felt the weight of the chooda settle onto her wrists.

As the ceremony drew to a close, the room was filled with embraces and well-wishes, "Chalo beta ab Anand karaj ke lie tayyar ko jao."

The noon of the Anand Karaj dawned with a sense of serenity and joy. The expansive grounds of the grand gurdwara were adorned with flowers and shimmering fabrics, creating an atmosphere of divine elegance. Devanshi, resplendent in a pink lehenga, radiated a quiet grace as she made her way towards the ceremonial hall, accompanied by her family.

In a room nearby, Shubman stood in front of a mirror, adjusting his pink sherwani. His friends and family surrounded him, their chatter filled with excitement and anticipation. Shahneel, his sister, couldn't resist teasing him.

"Nervous, huh?" she asked with a mischievous grin.

Shubman smiled, shaking his head. "Chup kar tu."

As the time for the ceremony approached, the guests took their seats inside the gurdwara, the sacred hymns of the kirtan filling the air with a sense of peace and spirituality. Shubman and Devanshi together walked on the aisle. Her pink lehenga shimmered under the soft light. As they walked down the aisle, her eyes met Shubman's, and in that moment, the world around them seemed to fade away.

Shubman couldn't help but smile, his heart swelling with love and pride. As Devanshi approached, he whispered softly, "You look"

Devanshi's eyes twinkled with joy as she replied, "And you look incredibly handsome."

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Ardas, a prayer seeking divine blessings. The Granthi, then recited the Lavan, the four hymns that symbolize the spiritual journey of marriage. As each hymn was sung, Shubman and Devanshi walked around the Guru Granth Sahib, their hands joined by a palla.

With each round, their bond seemed to deepen. During the second Lavan, Shubman gently squeezed Devanshi's hand, a silent promise of support and love. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with gratitude and affection.

As the third Lavan was sung, Devanshi felt a surge of emotion. She leaned slightly towards Shubman and whispered, "Ae, I'm glad it's you."

Shubman's heart skipped a beat. "Me too," he replied softly, his voice filled with sincerity.

The final Lavan concluded, sealing their union. The Granthi offered a final prayer, and the couple was showered with blessings and flower petals. The room erupted in applause, a wave of joy and love enveloping the newlyweds.

After the ceremony, the couple stepped outside, greeted by a sea of smiling faces and well-wishers. As they posed for photographs, Shubman couldn't resist pulling Devanshi close for a candid shot.

The couple then participated in the traditional ritual of feeding each other sweets, symbolizing the promise of always being there for one another. Shubman offered Devanshi a piece of barfi, his eyes never leaving hers. Dev took the coconut dessert, her fingers brushing against his.

Their families joined in the celebrations, laughter and conversations filling the air. Shubman's parents approached the couple, their faces glowing with pride and happiness.

"Welcome to the family, Dev," his father said, embracing him.

"Thank you, Papa," Dev replied, her voice filled with respect and affection.

His mother hugged her daughter-in-law tightly, her eyes glistening with tears. "You look so beautiful, beta. May you always be this happy."

"Thank you, Ma," Devanshi whispered, holding her mother close.
