Sanada name meaning, "real, genuine"

Nyoko went to work as she usually does. She put on one of her more professional outfits and headed out of her apartment. Silently she made her way towards her desk and sat down to do her work. All she wanted was to get through the day and go home.

"Sanada!" Mio was suddenly there with her hands resting on her desk, leaning over to get a better view of her friend. "How was your date?"

Nyoko blushed. Even if what they went on wasn't technically a date, the statement still made her blush. "It was fine." She answered quietly.

"Just fine?" Mio sat down in the chair across from her desk. The chair Mio claimed as her own since no one else sat in it but her. "You two didn't have any fun?"

"We just went to a cafe and talked, it was actually really nice."

"You went out with a man like that and all you did was talk?" Mio scoffed.

"Like I said it was nice, he's nice." Nyoko wasn't sure what else to say. She didn't think he was particularly nice, but she didn't think he was horrible. They just didn't really talk about anything unless it was about their contract.

"Well when are the two of you going out again?" Mio played with the stapler on Nyoko's desk.

"Tomorrow night, we're going to a steak place." Nyoko smiled. She actually was excited for this, Nyoko had never had steak. Sure, she would have liked to go with Mio, her parents, or Satoru more, but Toji wasn't the worst option.

"Then what? Do you think you'll go back to his place or yours?"

"Neither." She answered simply. "Because this isn't something we should be discussing at work."

"You're no fun." Mio sighed as she stood up from her desk. "So I guess I'll just have to come over tonight and we can talk about it after work."

Nyoko rolled her eyes. There went her relaxing plans for the night.

Just as Mio had said, she showed up at Nyoko's apartment that night. Since she expected Mio to stay true to her word she already had dinner going.

"I love your hair." Mio reached out and touched her white hair. "Why don't you always wear it naturally?"

"I just don't like it very much." Nyoko lied. Mio of course knew nothing about the jujutsu world, so she wouldn't understand why Nyoko's real surname was so dangerous. It was hard trying to figure out little white lies that made sense.

"You're going to let me style it one of these days. Then you're never gonna want to go back to that hideous wig." Mio set her stuff down and made herself at home. Nyoko cringed as she noticed the several bags she brought. That meant that she was going to spend the night.

"I hope you're ok with curry for dinner?"

Mio shrugged. "Your cooking isn't that bad."

"Thanks?" Nyoko took out a couple bowls and placed them on the countertop.

Mio took a stroll around the kitchen as Nyoko prepared the food. She stopped just in front of the fridge and pulled one of the pictures out from under a magnet. "Oh, your brother is so handsome."

Nyoko hit the wooden spoon hard against the pot. "What?"

"When are you going to invite him here?"

"He's sixteen, you will not be meeting him with your reputation." Nyoko ran to grab the photo of her brother. Mio held the picture up above her head to keep it out of her friend's reach. Nyoko however was taller, so it was easy for her to retrieve the picture.
