"The after life is so beautiful."
That was the first thing Naruto said as she crossed over into the realm of death.
The sky was the brightest blue she had ever seen, the grass was up to her knees dotted with millions of little pastel flowers, and in the center of it all was a small cottage surrounded by the leafy dreads of gigantic willow tree.
The only thing strange about it all, was the piercing agony in her chest.
"W-what?" Naruto lifted her hand carefully to touch the wound. A hiss of pain escaped her lips along with tears from her eyes.
"B-but I thought..." As if responding to her grief the clouds darkened the sky until no sun was left, and the very heavens themselves began to thunder so loudly that Naruto thought her ears might rupture..
The light in the blonde's eyes dulled. It was such a strange look on the blonde. She had never looked so empty before.
"Sakura...."
Naruto couldn't handle the grief. The girl she had considered her sister, had killed her in cold blood.
For the first time in her life Naruto wanted to avenge herself. Now she could understand Sasuke's drive.
"Naruto-" it was just a whisper on the wind.
The girl froze...
No.
No.no.no
Nonononononono- it couldn't be.
Jerking her head up to the sound the blonde girl felt like a child all over again.
Her eyes scanned the field, only to catch a glimmer of something near the cottage, but that was enough. Tearing off the ground Naruto ran like a fox out of hell.
'I know that voice. Oh my, Kami please please please!!!"
Bursting into the house the peace inside shattered. Its occupants stood up prepared to fight. Only to be caught unaware at a wail of desperation.
"Dad! Has anyone seen my dad?!"
The air stilled.
Naruto and the occupants took each other in.
Recognition flitted through all of their expressions. However even more prominent was the shock on one blond male's face.
"N-Naruto?"
That was all it took for the girl to launch herself at the man in front of her.
Loud wails seemed to shake the very house as finally Minato began to hug his daughter back.
"D-dad- If only even one good thing came out of me being dead it's this!" Minato jerked away grabbing his daughter firmly by her shoulders.
"What are you doing here Naruto? You shouldn't be here!!!"
However before she was able to answer the remaining three people in the house made themselves known her.
"I admit I was not expecting to see Naruto quite so soon either. Wasn't she supposed to become the hokage?"
Wiping the tears from her eyes and taking a calming breath the blonde locked her dull eyes with Senju, Hashirama.
The brunette flinched back so hard that he bumped sharply into his younger brother Tobirama.
Tobirama didn't dare to speak, he was better at observation.
"Indeed, I find myself confused as well." This voice however was a new one. Naruto turned her gaze over to the stranger. He was imposing with long, black, spiky hair that fell past his hips.
It was silent for moment before Naruto broke it.
"I'm sorry but who are you?" The blonde narrowed her eyes.
The stranger sighed before glaring at the Senju brothers who were respectively smirking and laughing.
Meanwhile her father gripped her hand gently trying to provide some comfort.
"Hn... you would think that one would be able to remember their old opponent who tried to put the world under an infinite Tsukiyomi."
The blonde squinted before nodding, "you definitely look better like this Madara, you looked really ugly before."
The male widened his eye offended. "Are you being serious?!"
Naruto looked away, " I'm dead I've nothing left to lose."
The room went went silent. No one wanted to respond to that.
The blonde scowled, " my dream has died, my purpose died with it." The rest flinched backwards as the girl punched a giant hole through the wall.
"But worst of all. I was killed by someone I loved like a sister. For such a stupid reason as me being a stain."
