It has been a month and a half since the bet started and a month since he asked Clark out, and Bruce had to say he was feeling utter shit and very guilty.

He looked at the bouquet Clark had sent him with the request for a date tonight; Bruce had texted as soon as he received it, saying yes.

Looking at the clock, Bruce saw that it was 4:55. He gathered all his work and put it in his briefcase, picked up the flowers, and exited his office. He made it outside just as Clark pulled up alongside the building.

The taller man exited the vehicle and opened the door for him. They drove to a park outside the city, and Clark parked his truck and got out. He pulled a blanket from the backseat, spread it on the trunk bed, and helped Bruce up. Then, I went back for a picnic basket.

They ate and talked for hours until Clark climbed off the truck and went to the back door. He pulled it open and pulled out a small box. Bruce raised a brown as he brought it over and placed it in front of him.

Bruce opened the box. Inside was a small cake with the words, Happy Birthday, written across the top. Frowning, he looked up at Clark."Happy Birthday," the Kryptonian said, and Bruce pulled out his phone and looked at the date, noticing that it was, in fact, his birthday.

"I know you don't celebrate it, so I didn't want to do anything big. And I thought you might like some quiet, so this was a good idea. I didn't want to...mhm." Clark was cut off by a pair of lips crashing into his.

His hands went up and cuddled Bruce's cheek as the other man pulled away. "You are cute when you ramble," he said, smirking as a blush rose on Clark's face.

"Shut up and eat your cake," Clark mumbled, and Bruce chuckled before swiping a finger across the icing and sticking it in his mouth while looking Clark straight in the eye.

Clark's eyes grew dark before he closed them and shook his head. "You're playing a dangerous game," he said before climbing onto the truck, going right up to Bruce, and hovering over him. "And in this game, I make the rules. So be careful, bats." His voice was deep, sending a shiver down Bruce's spine. Clark smirked and moved away, sitting in his original position as Bruce released a breath he didn't know he was holding.
