Chapter three

  "What you must be mistaken he isn't my husband". I said in shock.
  "What my mum got me married to a child,this is the height of it". He yelled I have never seen him so angry and he went to his room.
  "Do you know him". Christine said as she walked me upstairs.
  "He teaches at my school, he is too strict". I said weakly.
  "Ooooh so you didn't know he was the one".Christine giggled.
  "It's not funny I hate him". I said as I opened the door.
  " don't say that freshen up I will get you something to eat".She said.
   "Thanks". I said.
  " I can't believe this Eric mum got me married to a child she is 17".Jayden said to his Eric on the phone.
  "Fair enough you are 27 it's no big deal stop crying
You act like an old man too much."Eric said
  "You know what grandma invited us to her house for the weekend I am doomed".He said
  "Be a good boy husband please hang up now I have a guest waiting for me".Eric said and he ended the call. 
  I was about to sleep when I heard a knock on the door. It was really late I got up and opened it.
  "Are you a child I was calling the land line you weren't answering you had to make me come here". Jayden said angrily. He was such a nag.
  "I am really sorry but I didn't hear it" . I said calmly.
  "Get ready early tomorrow and also pack your bags we are going somewhere". He said and left such a rude fellow. I packed my bag and slept
   I woke up late, I took my time to get ready and went downstairs. He was eyed me and went out I hugged Christine and left.
    He drove for three hours without saying word, such a boring person I concentrated on my books because I had a test on Monday. I was hungry so I brought out two hamburgers from my bag.
  "Do you care for".I said but he ignored me.my phone rang it was French it was a video call.
  "Hey weirdo where you at".he said
"I am going out".I said smiling
  "I miss you a lot".he said
  "He misses your hands".sarah said
"You guys I miss you too but not to worry on Monday we will have so much fun".I said smiling
"Okay bye". French said and he ended the call.
     We got there at 5pm ,he drove for hours it was beautiful as expected he parked at the garage. His grandma was already waiting for him, he hugged her and then tony.
  "Granny how have you been". He said smiling
"I am fine my boy, is she the one she looks beautiful". Granny Carol said
  "Good evening grand ma".I said and she hugged me. We entered the house it was a three bedroom apartment. She showed us our room and we left, tony the house help brought in our bags.
  "So how has my boy been treating you".She said as we waited for the food to be served I wanted to help but she refused.
  "He has been cruel am just joking he has been nice "I said as I eyed him. He was on his phone
  "That nice so I am expecting grand kids soon". She said I couldn't even imagine that horrible thought.
  "Let's hope on God".I said smiling.
"So grandma hope you have been taking your drugs" he said as he dropped his phone.
  "Yes my son you look pale dear,hope you aren't exerting yourself".she said as she touched his face.
  "Grandma it's work stress".He said smiling. Tony brought the food and he sat down. We served our food individually. I didn't serve much because I didn't understand the kind of food and I hated the smell.
  "How is it".grandma said smiling
  "It's nice".Jayden said
  "It very delicious".tony said.
  "It's nice".I said as I forced the food down my throat.
  "Then eat more".she said.
"Yes you should eat more my dear wife". Jayden said mockingly he knew I didn't like it he smiled.
  "No grandma this will do, I am not really much of a eater".I lied.
  I went straight to the room, I showered I was about to lie down when Jayden came in.
  "Why are you here".I said calmly.
"I don't want to stress granny, you can sleep on the floor then I take the bed". He said and he started to laugh.
  "Why are you laughing".I said
"What's with that stupid nightwear,even a six year old wouldn't wear that thing".he said.
  "This is my favorite night wear,it's Mickey Mouse but I doubt a boring person like you would know it". I said
  "Alright sleep on the floor".He said
"No be a gentleman".I said smiling.
  "Never okay".he said.
  "Well If you don't want me to yell behave yourself, I will put a pillow in between us".I said as I lied down. He showered and he took the pillow and placed it on the floor. He collected extra sheets from the wardrobe.
  "I am switching off the lights".I said
"Don't". He said calmly.
  "Okay fine then good night". I said  as I covered my face with the blanket.
  I didn't get any sleep because my eyes hurt. I got up early because I couldn't sleep at all, meanwhile Jayden slept like a log.
  I went to the kitchen, thank God there was eggs, sweet potatoes,and carrots. I sliced some vegetables for the eggs and then I fried potatoes with the carrots.
I was still cooking when grandma came inside the kitchen.
  "This smells nice make for everyone but child didn't you sleep at night".she said anything I didn't sleep well I had dark circles and my eyes would be swollen.i didn't know what to say.
  "It's fine".she said and left. I was done making breakfast,I went back to the room.I was suprised to see the bed neatly arranged.  He came out of the bathroom.he almost fell down.
"You scared me just now".He said as he held his chest.
  "You are the cause of this".I said as I sat on the bed I removed my glasses and I started to scratch my eyes.
  "You look like a beast".he said as he applied his skincare.
   "I going back to bed".I said as I lied down. I was already having a bad headache.
  "Suit yourself".he said
  "Just leave".I said as I closed my eyes. He left the room and he went to the dining table grandma and tony was already eating. He hugged his grandma
  "Good morning granny this looks good but it doesn't smell like your food".he said as he sat down.
  "Good morning uncle Jayden".he said smiling.
  "Good morning my boy". Granny said
"This is nice".Jayden said as he ate.
"My daughter in law made it so it should be".granny said smiling.
  "She possibly can't make this grandma".Jayden said calmly.
  "Of course she did she looked pale this morning, she didn't sleep last night, did she?"grandma said.
  "Grandma I slept so I don't know about her". Jayden said nonchalantly.
  "Jayden how can you be so mean,you know she is young and you are older so you need to be responsible for her".granny said tony stood up and left.
  "Granny I will be truthful from now on okay, I dislike her. She behaves like a child I can't stand her".Jayden said angrily.
  "She is an innocent girl".granny said and her phone vibrated it was a reminder that she needed to go for her check up.
  "Okay granny".he said he knew better not to stress the topic.
"I am going for check my regular check".she said as she stood up.
   "Let me go with you".he said
  "No stay and look after your wife she doesn't look well,I will go with tony".she said and she left.
   Jayden stayed in his grandma's room the whole day reading and compiling notes. He got up as soon as he heard his grandma's voice. While I managed to bathe and went back to bed.
  "Good evening granny".he said as he came out of her room.She ignored him.
  "Good evening uncle j".tony said as he sat down.
  "I am really sorry granny but I missed you  so much". He said smiling he knew she could never ever resist his smile.
  "It's fine dear you must have been busy with work have you checked your wife".she said smiling he had totally forgotten about her.
  "No,but let me go check".he said he opened the door.my eyes where blurry,I was feeling sick and was still in bed. He switched on the lights.
  "What's wrong with you".he said as he came close.
"I .....am sick".I said weakly,he puts his hands on my forehand.
  "You are burning".he said he quickly took his car keys.
  "Can you walk".he said
"N..o".I said weakly. He carried me out of the room.
"What's happening".grandma said
"I need to take her to the hospital she has a fever". Jayden said.we went to the hospital it was crowded but they weren't attending to them,he dropped me on a chair and he went to the reception.
  "Nurse please attend to her she isn't feeling well". Jayden said worriedly.
  "Sir we have a lot of people you are just coming as you can see an accident happened a lot of people where injured". She said rudely.
  "Is this what you have to say, you nurses are just seated here doing nothing".Jayden said angrily.
  "If you can't wait then leave".she said he was in no mood to argue the next hospital was far, so he took the risk.
  "Are you okay,can you hear me".he said as he drove.
  "I am fine".I said weakly.
  "Those incompetent nurses can't do their job well, I will have to report that hospital".he grumbled.
  "I am cold".I said and he turned off the Ac he closed the windows.
  "I forget my jacket okay please be strong".he said
We finally got to the hospital.I got admitted and treatment started.
  "Mark how is she".Jayden said as mark came out from the ward. Mark was his friend and a doctor
  "She is stable now we collected her samples to run some test,she has a fever and I think she ate something she was allergic to".he said
  "Thanks mark,you look good"he said smiling
"You too,but man that girl is beautiful you are lucky hope you are good to her".he said
  "I try man to be good,but am not a gentleman". He said and they laughed.
"Am going to office okay see you".he said and he left.
   I woke up feeling in the morning feeling much better but I was still feeling sick. Jayden was sleeping on the couch. He looked innocent in his sleep he was a devil when he was awake.I was pressed I needed to use the toilet.Thankfully I wasn't placed on any drip.I tried to walk but my head was spinning so I sat down.
  "Professor,professor".I said calmly he didn't get up.
"Sir,sir".I said weakly and then he opened his eyes.
  "You are awake".he said as he stood up.
  "Yes but I can't walk I feel dizzy".I said
"Should I call the doctor".he said worriedly he reminded me of my brother.
  "Please can you help me to the toilet".I said
"Okay".he said he carried me inside the bathroom and he went out.I eased myself and I opened the door he wasn't in the room so I lied down.the doctor came in few minutes later.
   "How are you feeling".the doctor said now the doctor said.
  "I am much better but am still dizzy".I said calmly
"It's fine okay when you eat you will be better, from the tests results you are allergic to shrimps and peanuts, also you have a fever but not to worry I have already given your husband the prescription, you can go home".He said smiling
  "Thank you". I said and he left. I was bored so I turn on the tv and watched cartoons.
  "How can you amaze me every-time".Jayden said as he entered the room with bags.
  "What did I do and you had me worried".I said
"At your age you still watch SpongeBob".he said smiling as he handed me a bagI brought out the food pack I got disappointed at the sight of the food.
  "Is this food".I said as I glared at him.
"Of course it's healthy eat up.it's a mix of different vegetables".he said smiling.
"This is nonsense how can you do this to me I love meat".I grumbled as I ate .
"Eat up child we have to go home". He said I ate,and he gave me something to change into.
  " you are mean,I look like a fool in this clothes where did you buy them from".I said as I came out of the bathroom.he laughed as soon as he saw me.
  "You look beautiful and decent".he said
"I hate you".I said as I wore the face cap.the clothes were too big. We discharged and went home
