CHAPTER 17

The next day Kingsley got in Grimmauld Place and asked Remus to follow him. They sat down.

"Remus, you're wanted because you're a werewolf. The ministry thinks you're dangerous and that you joined Voldemort, because Greyback and the others did that. So they're going to hunt you, give you a process where you'll be judged as guilty anyway and send you to Azkaban or kill you, pretending it to be for everyone's security."

Remus was frozen in horror.

"So I have to hide?"

"Yes. You do. And you must not marry Tonks, you have to keep your relationship secret, it's for her own safety."
Remus breathed, and then got up.

"Thanks, Kingsley." He got out of the room.

"So?" Sirius, who was right there, asked.

"I'm wanted because I'm a werewolf. They want to send me to Azkaban or kill me."

Sirius hugged his friend.

"It's ok, Remus. You can hide here."

"Thanks, Sirius. I think... I think I'll leave Dora."

"What? That's a very stupid thing."

"Our relationship has to be secret, we can't marry, I'm wanted and if they knew that she loves me she'd be wanted too. She deserves a simpler life, a younger man who can hold her hand while walking in Hogsmeade and be a better boyfriend. I love her, that's why I'm doing this."

"I want you to listen to me carefully, Remus. She knows what she's doing, she chose to be with you instead of a young Auror. She wants you. You'll only break two hearts, yours and hers. Don't be stupid. Now go, talk to her and explain everything. She'll be happy with you anyway, because you make her happy, I see it in her eyes. She loves you."

Remus leant on a chair and covered his face with hands.

"Why me?" he asked, before starting to sob.

"Remus, please. You're one of the most wonderful people on earth. Don't hurt yourself like this."

Tonks got in the room in that moment.

"Remus!" she screamed.

"Go away!" Remus cried. "Go away, please!"

Dora was hurt by that.

"No." Sirius said. "No, Remus. She'll stay here, and you'll talk to her, because it's what you both need. Be a man, Remus. Goodbye."

Dora sat on Remus' lap and hugged him.

"Sssh, it's ok, Remus, it really is."

Sirius smiled before closing the door. His cousin could heal Remus' wounds. He went into the kitchen. Dumbledore was there. He already knew of the situation, Kingsley had told him.

"How's he?"

"He's with Dora."

"That's good. I hope he won't do anything stupid."

"He already said that he wants to leave her."

"I hope this won't happen. I'll try to do anything I can to change the situation."

"Thanks, Albus. Remus is destroyed."

Harry got in the room.

"Sirius, I know what happened. Can I do anything for Remus?"

Sirius smiled.

"You can always try to prepare Wolfsbane, you potion genius."

"Seriously, Sirius."

"Yes, I'm Siriusly Sirius. You can be nice to him, dear, and you can make him feel that you love him."

"That's brilliant, Sirius." Dumbledore said.

"Don't worry, Harry. Everything will be okay at the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."

Later that night, Sirius went to Remus and Dora's room and found them asleep in each other's arms.

"That's good." He thought.
