Olivia lay surrounded by lyrics taped to the windows of her la apartment, the wonderful city view blocked out by music for months. Nobody really minded they all knew it was her process. Tonight was a little different it was 2am, but the city lights were still shining even through the curtain of paper. It was 2am, but liv couldn't sleep, not with all the questions left unanswered, not with the demons that had found their way to her mind by climbing through her ears and walking through her mind and she especially couldn't sleep with the devil himself looming over her bed in the form of Cameron fucking macy. In reality, of course, she was lying in her bed, alone in an empty room with too many problems and one solution. Gracie.

Gracie lay tossing and turning in her bed with the demons of her parents haunting her. Audrey was out leaving her alone with only her thoughts, keeping her company in this shitty la motel just blocks away from Olivia's downtown apartment. Though she needed sleep in the darkness that clouded her mind, there was only one light to guide her across this turbulent sea that came with the storm or more formally known as the shit show of her life. She knew it was a dumb idea. All of it was one big dumb idea, but bad ideas make good stories, right? Her wonderful 2am idea was to text Olivia knowing the time was the least of her worries.

Liv climbed into the driver's seat of her car, placing the key chain adorned keys into the car and driving down the quiet yet bustling streets of la feeling the warm wind blowing through her hair as she relaxed into the seat. The city buildings were still fully lit up as she navigated the lonly streets. She saw a teenager sleep at a bus stop and couldn't help but feel bad for him though the second he saw her, his true colours shined through. Speeding around a dead but busy city was surprisingly good therapy though it'd never be enough the sounds of people jusy talking made her feel a lottle less lomly ing this baren world of idiots. Sometimes, she wondered if she was the idiot who was falling behind. It definitely felt that way a lot. Everybody somehow seemed agead of the game.

As her drive came to an end, she pulled up to the gorgeous beach, watching as the moonlight sparkled across the waves in the distance. Only 2 sorces of light could be spotted, a shitty family owned ice cream shop where the worker looked half dead and a dimly lit up part of the sand in the darkness that shrouded Mackenzie beach where gracie had resided. The sound of the crashing waves gave a calm atm to the duo of distressed girls as liv made her way over to gracie. No words were spoken after subtle greetings were made .both of them just sat on the line where the land cut off and the beach began, their backs against a line of rocks and grass behind them.

Their silence was first disrupted by gracie. "I'm sorry for calling you our here so late. It's just that I feel like we confessed a lot but still kept a lot unsaid." Gracie rambled as she turned to face Olivia, who was still focused on the ocean before her.

"Gracie, it's ok. I was up too, and honestly, I think meeting tonight was for the better, I agree we left a lot unsaid, but that doesn't mean we need to rush and say it... we can just enjoy the view, " liv replied, looking the girl that sat beside her up and down.

The moonlight sparked in their gazes as they inspected the details of one another's faces. Their eyes slowly circled each others faces before settling on their lips. The girls kept a knowing look on their faces, a look of knowing exactly what the other wanted, mostly because they wanted it too. Olivia cupped gracies cheek as they locked lips as the waves crashed behind them. The gentle ex of their love was a testament to their separation even after all this time they were still able to snap back like a rubber band it stings at first but goes away in the end. Liv climbed on top of gracie, who was leaning against the rocks that sat behind them. As she straddled her, it felt like the world itself had disappeared. They'd forgotten all rhyme or reason as they blew through the stop signs life had been so eager to taunt them with. When They separated as liv tucked gracies hair behind her ear.
