The next day, Wyatt wakes up to a message from Regina on his phone. With a mixture of curiosity and skepticism, he opens it, unsure of what to expect.
"Hey Wyatt, I wanted to apologize for my behavior yesterday. I realize I may have crossed a line, and I'm truly sorry for making you uncomfortable. Can we still work together on the art project? I promise to keep things strictly professional from now on. Let me know your thoughts. - Regina 💋"
As Wyatt reads the message, he feels a sense of relief wash over him. Despite the awkwardness of their encounter, Regina's apology seems genuine, and her willingness to move forward surprises him.
After a moment of contemplation, Wyatt decides to respond, agreeing to continue their collaboration on the art project. He acknowledges Regina's apology and expresses his hope that they can put the incident behind them.
With a sense of resolve, Wyatt sets his phone aside, feeling cautiously optimistic about their future interactions.
As Wyatt sits in the cafeteria, contemplating Regina's message, Cady approaches him, a determined expression on her face.
"Hey, Wyatt, guess what?" Cady chirps, sliding into the seat across from him.
Wyatt looks up, intrigued by Cady's excitement. "What's up?" he responds, curious about her sudden enthusiasm.
Cady grins, unable to contain her excitement. "I heard about Regina's Halloween party, and I'm definitely going," she announces, her eyes shining with anticipation.
Wyatt's eyebrows raise in surprise. "You are? That's cool," he remarks, impressed by Cady's boldness.
Cady nods eagerly. "Yeah, I can't wait. It's going to be so much fun," she gushes, already lost in thoughts of costumes and decorations.
Wyatt smiles, happy to see Cady so excited. "Well, I hope you have a great time," he says genuinely, knowing that the party will be an unforgettable experience for her.
As Cady excitedly talks about Regina's Halloween party, Janis and Damian join the conversation, their expressions more cautious than enthusiastic.
"Wait, you're going to Regina's party?" Janis interjects, her tone tinged with concern.
Damian nods in agreement. "Yeah, Cady, you might want to be careful. Regina's parties can be... intense," he adds, his voice filled with warning.
Cady shrugs off their concerns, her excitement undeterred. "I'll be fine, guys. I'm not worried," she assures them, brushing off their warnings.
Janis and Damian exchange a knowing look, but decide not to press the issue further. Instead, they turn to Wyatt, eager to change the subject.
"So, Wyatt, how's it going with the art project and Regina?" Janis asks, trying to steer the conversation in a different direction.
Wyatt hesitates for a moment, still processing his recent interactions with Regina. "It's... interesting," he replies cautiously, unsure of how much to reveal.
Damian raises an eyebrow, sensing Wyatt's hesitation. "Interesting how?" he prompts, his curiosity piqued.
Wyatt shrugs, choosing his words carefully. "She apologized for the other day and asked if we could still work together on the project," he explains, trying to keep his tone neutral.
Janis and Damian exchange a glance, sensing that there's more to the story than Wyatt is letting on. But before they can press him for details, the bell rings, signaling the end of the lunch period.
Wyatt had only told Janis, Damian and Cady that Regina broke his sketchbook and not that she tried to seduce him.
Over the next few weeks, Wyatt finds himself growing closer to Regina in unexpected ways. As they continue to work on their art project together, Regina begins to open up to Wyatt, revealing a side of herself that he never knew existed.
